Here is the interview with Jim Cantiello, where he walks Adam step by step through the AMA's, incl. the cockroach reference. Because it was Jim Cantiello and not Mike Slezak, where Adam made that comparison. There are a lot of questions today about what Adam planned or said or not, so I hope it is ok to post this today as reference. Butterfly, Adam said so himself, sorry, I am in a hurry for my doctor's appointment, I'll find the interview when I come back, or I am sure somebody will. ![]() I will look for the Slezak interview with the cockroach reference, but for now, he talks about it at 7:38 here. Yikes. I suppose, Adam has developed a pretty good instinct for who is earnest in how they interact with him and who is just trying to buy their way in with him. This is quite stalkerish actually and shows what expectations were associated with the gift. And good for Adam, that he just ignored it. The fact that this woman is so tactless as to tweet Adam's father about her need or entitlement to receive a TY, just means that Adam's sense was spot on. Probably, the note she must have left with her gift, so that he could 'appropriately thank her', reeked of similar desperation. Adam is smart. Glad he knows how to handle crap like that - and Dadam too, btw. Its not like he signed up for that job, either. And can you imagine if he did acknowledge it with a tweet! His next hotel room would be filled with nothing but wine bottles!  I think celebs also have to be careful about gifts of food and drinks, especially Adam, who has many haters. |

lol, Afterelton must have been AMA inspired from somewhere, cannot think of any place that may have done that to them yesterday, but the puzzle pic clearly is from the AMA's. The fact that I could even finish that puzzle, once I had figured out which pic it was, shows that the distance to those events has been growing over the years, which is good. It showed in many of yesterday's writings too and that was good to see too. Btw, just a question: Do you guys think that Adam intentionally put on a shiny gray suit to the VMAs to visually defend his AMA performance? Send a signal to his Glamberts, who are the only ones that would ever pick up on something like this. Kind of like last time, where he wore some piece of his AMA suit, the very first time that he was allowed back as a presenter, two years later. Maaaaybeeee...... And if he didn't want it brought up, he would not have tweeted about Miley. I think he knew exactly what would happen when he did that. And it showed he and the press have pretty much gotten past the AMAs. Now, as for the fans... we still talkin'...  But really, it's been cathartic for us "old" fans, and a history lesson for new fans. |

He is just singing the song, BB! No lyrics were changed. There are uncensored versions because the US East Coast got the live feed. |

Kamar, as best we know, he just sang the normal harmless lyrics. One theory that went around the fan sites at the time, was that the guy at the switchboard had instructions and was supposed to switch to a different camera for that moment and then the guy accidentally hit the mute instead of the correct camera button. It really made no sense lyrically to mute those few seconds. It must have been some kind of mistake.
