Can someone direct me to the best Kickin In video? I really like the recorded version, and I remember there was one time it was a very close approximation, but can't remember which show now.. Are the very "best" of performances listed somewhere for those times you want to send links to newbies? Thanks! Pi - like you, I have always liked, and for me even preferred, the recorded version of this song. He used a backing track for Kickin' In at San Diego and although the backing track can be pretty dominant, Adam does transcend it especially at the end. So, try this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMBglRrJavgHa! mys*&@^#r - we came up with the same one, even the same video. LOL.

Hi Linda! I'm sure you didn't mean for your post to come out the way it did. As a life long Yankees fan, with 2 kids who went to Boston University, I can tell you there is plenty of obnoxious behavior to go around fans of both teams! My kids couldn't go to a BU hockey game without hearing "Yankees suck!" all night long. B-| OTT fans, and a few certifiable flakes, can be found everywhere thanks to the anonymity of the Internet. When it comes to Adam, I get discouraged too and try to avoid reading the comments below the articles. As mentioned above, it seems to be the same few culprits popping up everywhere, hellbent on getting their rhetoric out there, over and over......I like to think their intentions are well-meaning, but sometimes...... :-S That's when scroll truly is my friend! dontshakemytree - you're right, I meant it to come out facetiously, as in a team's fans will not be tempted to switch allegiance even if asked nicely by the rival team. I started to use the Astros and the Rangers but I was afraid that rivalry was not potent enough. No disrespect meant to Boston or New York. Some of the things that go on in sports arenas all over the world can be frightening. Thanks for not taking me literally. I think that those fans who are out on the edges of the bell curve exist for every actor, musician, athlete, writer, politician, or anyone in the public domain. They are easily recognized and dismissed by the majority of people they come in contact with and have little influence over the accomplishments of those they support. Mostly they are just a nuisance. I don't read comment sections for precisely that reason. And since today is contrary day and since these fans represent a statistical segment of any fandom, I would venture that the more of them there are, the better as that means the fan population is larger. Celebrating my 100th post with a to you!

Oh No. They are fans. I know the names very well and know which fan boards they hangout at. These are the hardcore Idol fans of Adam. These are not the ones that pretend to be "fans". I've read some comments from Adam fans who were pretty reasonable. Basically they were responding to the haters who like to claim that after all the hype, Adam is a big fat failure. I don't know how many times I've read that Adam's last album and singles flopped after all the money that was spent on him, and that his label wouldn't even fund a tour. I've also read many times that Adam's career is over, and that he hasn't been doing "anything". It's difficult to leave that alone because others who don't really know may actually believe that. I think that's why Adam's fans explain what he has been doing -- international tour, singing with Queen, etc. They need to stop though. Casual fans don't care if an artist flop or not and most don't care about statistics and numbers. If they like the music they will buy it. The haters have been saying he was a flop even while his first album was selling well. Honestly, most of the haters on the internet are fans of other Idols who no matter what dislike Adam. When the haters see an article with no comments they are more likely to not respond and if they do and Adam fans ignore them there would be 5 or 6 post instead of 5 or 6 pages of the back and forth. Can you name one legend who didn't have haters. It's a badge of honor because Adam has them pressed. They are pressed because despite the fact he is not on a Kelly or Carrie level he hasn't been relegated in the Idol trash bin. They come after his fans because they want to bring his fans down to earth on their guy level. It's time for Adam fans to let his career play out on it's own and his success will speak for itself.

So if these are really Adam fans, what do they think they are accomplishing by their stupid, OTT comments? It boggles my mind that fans of any artist would do that. Maybe they are young excitable people who know no better and think they are actually helping Adam?Someone should tell them to STFU! heh. They are not his young fans though. They are his older fans. These fans have never followed an artist before until Adam. If you follow other pop artists you would already know the do's and don'ts. This is all new to them. For some reason the sane fans are afraid to call them out. They don't want to act like the fandom police but I will tell you that the other pop artists fans will call your ass out in a second. Also the more successful an artist is the less need for the OTT, defensive behavior and having to prove how successful an artists is. Also fans spend more time talking about the artist actual career and how the business work. I know quite a number of the passionate fans who work tirelessly to "defend" Adam. Some are older, some are younger, some have not followed an artist in the digital era before, some are very knowledgeable. There is not common profile except that they love Adam. For the most part, these fans do very little harm -- but they usually do not help Adam. They seem to attract haters and trolls and baiters -- but for the most part, they just seem to annoy and/or embarrass somewhat more rational fans. be Many artists have fans like this -- it is something that comes with the kind of passion that sustains fan interest for a very long time. Some passionate fans just loose perspective. ETA: Costa Mesa "Kickin In" is my fav.

I'm still pretty impressed by how similiar their facial features are. Its really hard to tell that both sides arent Adam. I wish they would show the original avicci pic for this as I have not been able to find it.Late as always, haha , but I think I found the original pic of Avicii, that you were looking for, Jablea!

I disagree to some extent. Yes, the posts that list the Adam stats are not useful. But having lots of posts on articles is a very, very good thing. One of the reasons Adam was on the stage for VMAs and has so many articles written about him is because he generates a lot of interest and clicks. Look at the threads on MJSBigBlog -- four years after Idol ended and still Adam news generate more comments than anything except the seemingly endless posts about the Idol judge rumor du jour -- which usually are about 10% post about Adam. Finally, the vast majority of Adam fans are extraordinary nice and polite. Over the past few years, I have had occassion to speak to radio staff about fans -- and particularly Adam fans. I have always been told that his fans are nice, pleasant people -- passionate about Adam.

Huffington Post, Gay Voices, has a story about a gay rapper suing Macklemore for stealing his song and using it for "Same Love". The complaint is that the straight white guy is not giving back to the gay community. Please note that the comments are all by what "appear" to be gay men, and, from what I read, all support Macklemore. www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/29/le1f-gay-rapper-blasts-macklemore_n_3836703.html
