shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 1h Even more annoying when people believe sites that take old quotes out of context I Go By Many Names @igobymanynames 50m @shoshannastone most of us take you or Adam retweeting an article for confirmation, if that's any consolation. Not sure about other fandoms shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 48m @igobymanynames it's just silly. We've been very clear that Adam and queen is about moments and events not full tours. Isn't that what we've always thought? Here anyway. I don't think anyone expects a full tour out of Roger and Brian, ever.

What do I predict for Adam? That something really awesome is going to happen that we haven't thought of yet! That seems how it goes with Adam. Things that we get our hopes up for don't happen, but then something amazing that's not on our radar comes through! Exactly!

First of all, I am glad it is over. As an Adam fan, I hope he sings a new single on the show and then is done with it. I really only plan to watch when he is on. As a former Idol fan, this judging panel is the end for me I think, I am very disappointed that they are not trying to reboot the show. They had a chance and blew it. Note: My rebooting would actually not have included Adam as a judge, I would have had him come back as a mentor and on the Finale. I'm seeing lot's of disappointment here in AI regarding the Harry Connick Jr. choice. I'd seen a little clip of him mentoring sometime and he was pretty on point--not wishy washy. So I just spent some time looking on YouTube. He is a very good musician and interpreter of songs (I already knew that). He is also not afraid to actually critique the contestants--like Adam. Although he is not part of the "current" music scene, he is clearly able to offer constructive comments as a judge. Check this out from last season. In another clip he commented about someone's breath support, worked on really understanding the lyrics, etc. I'm not going to write him off as a lame choice as judge. Simon, Paula, and Randy were not all that relevant when they started with the show. Maybe the show is just winding down anyway. Just my 2 cents on HCJ. I like him as a jazz musician and an actor BUT.... 1. IMO He was not a good mentor on Idol -- which is not the same as judging but does give great insight into how a musician will view other artists. HCJ had two shots and both times he forced these singers to use jazz arrangements and adopt a slow jazz cadence that is neither contemporary or appropriate for most of these singers. Yes, he gave some valid musically advice but it was not relevant to the contestants and he did not contribute (either time) to helping them be better performers or vocalists. In 2010 he was the mentor for Frank Sinatra Week. He personally did the arrangements for the contestants and they had to sing to those arrangements. It was an entertainment and artistic disaster. Having Casey James sing a jazz arrangement of "Blue Skies" was just tragic to watch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VO1WlswnpgCrystal Bowersox made an excellent song choice, Summer Wind. She knew the song. But she was forced to sing a slow tempo, jazz arrangement of the song -- very similar to the original Frank Sinatra 1966 arrangement. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwuGFQSx7cgPerhaps she could have done it in her own style. Something more like this -- I just mean a contemporary arrangement with her guitar. NOT JAZZ. youtu.be/OPTxp5RsjbMHis AI12 mentoring performance show (2013) was one of the worst Idol performance shows ever -- that is the show that he and Randy had the argument about Harry's advice to Candice not to sing any runs. 2. He is an expert on classic jazz styling and performance. This has nothing to do with popular music in 2013 -- nothing. And he has NO experience in the music world these contestants are trying to enter. Harry Connick Jr. has NEVER even released a single. ETA - link fixed - thanks Dancygeorgia. Also, I like jazz but most people prefer other genres, and alt rock and country singers should not be forced into jazz arrangement. And R&B singer like Candice should not be told "the right way to sing".

Yes, and the concept of Bri with his new replacement knee and Roger who is only interested in an occasional show doing a world tour? Not happening. Also, Adam has other things to do.

What I hope and predict for Adam is he will no longer be seen as not relevant. I read that under an article just yesterday from someone who hasn't heard much about him in the last couple of years. No doubt Glee will help with that. Then of course a successful 3rd album.

Q3, you posted the same video twice for Crystal Bowersox. Did you mean some other video for the "Something more like this" one?

Have to say that I'm so sick of all the competitive reality shows.. from singing,to cooking,to dating, to naming that tune,to singing that tune,to living on an Island without dying,to who wore it better, well you name it...
I actually started reading again.. now if I could just not keep falling a sleep after a couple of pages.. have tried different books.. snore

(prbbly rolling her eyes...)

I started to bring it over yesterday, but decided it would only confuse people.

American Blues Scene @ameribluesscene 31m #AmericanBluesScene interview with @brianlondon is now live at rockn.ro/5v9 Thank you to Brian and to @tommyjoeratliff Brian's interview with American Blues Scene was posted today at: www.americanbluesscene.com/2013/08/brian-london-the-blues-feels-good/Tommy's interview with American Blues Scene was last week. It is well worth the read for some insights into Adam!!! www.americanbluesscene.com/2013/08/tommy-joe-ratliff/Let’s talk for a second about the Adam Lambert thing, because that’s just wild. I love this idea: Ya’ll do this guyliner thing, and he’s this big pop star. There’s you who’s this ridiculous blues lover who can just grunge the slide guitar. How do you bring some of that influence into mainstream pop music? Well ya can’t have a voice like Adam’s and not have a feeling for the blues. He’s totally about soul and funk, so he definitely get the blues. Thats what worked so well when I auditioned, I guess, is that we both have a very similar feel and, at the same time, we’re both really into make up and the glam rock. It’s going to be 4 years in October and it’s still pretty damn surreal to me and still my main priority! I was originally on bass with him. He wanted more funk and blues so he switched me over to guitar. His next album is going to be a lot more rock, which I’m super excited about. It’s like what I was saying earlier, blues is like a secret handshake. Some of the guys you’d never guess are serious blues lovers, and a lot of people wouldn’t expect Adam Lambert to be a guy that listens to a lot of blues… or his guitar player. Totally! When we’re all relaxing and hanging out, he’ll pop on the Hendrix blues album or old Zepplin. He gets it, ’cause its moody and its sexy. I can’t sing for shit, so to play guitar and get to do bluesy licks answering to his vocal is unreal. So, a job where I can throw on a little “guyliner”, be myself and blues is totally welcome… I don’t think I could possibly ask for a better one for myself.
