I haven't had a chance to watch OITNB yet, but I agree with the recommendation for Long Way Round. I really enjoyed it, too! I loved LWR too! And they made a second trip and that series is called "Long Way Down." They journey from Scotland to Africa. They're showing it on a channel I get so I've been watching it again.

The Roller Coaster Series : Day 118
Predictions for Adam Lambert... ..
1- New Record Label deal (with Island Records , or Interscope)
2- Shaving Melvin
3- Start shooting Glee , and we'll get new deets on his character
4- Hosting the MTV EMA's 2013 , and performing on it .
5- LMD being released as a single , along with sexy music video .
6- More details on A3 , and it's first single .
7- New Haircut/Hair color .
8- New surprise announcements
9- Adam getting nominated and winnging awards for his acting on Glee , which leads to him starring on a high-profile movie along with Brad Pitt . Or Jonny Depp . Or Leo DiCaprio .
10- Adam topping everything , everywhere , and all the Glamberts worldwide shuddering in ecstasy .
There !! I love these predictions! I hadn't really thought about a video for LMD. Does anyone know if the singers are in his videos?

I have to disagree with that. IMO singers use runs because: 1) They know how, 2) They want to show that they can do it, 3) It enhances songs. I think it takes skill to use runs and it does add to the phrasing of many songs. Beiber is learning, even tho he's not very good now, but I think with experience, he might do OK. Blake Shelton doesn't like runs at all, but I guess most country singers don't use it (I really don't know)? Adam, ofc, is very skilled at it, and uses it appropriately. I totally agree. I love the runs, it shows off teqnuqie and the beauty of the voices. I can;t imaging Adam singing without them. As far as the new judge person - I haven;t seen him mentoring except for the posted You Tube - and that was waaaay annoying to see.... You do understand that I wasn't saying that every singer who does runs is using them to disguise a lack of control, right? Nor was I saying that runs don't have their place in some songs. I just think they're often overused, especially on Idol, and especially by singers who, unlike Adam, couldn't hold a note steady for more than a few seconds. Adam does beautiful runs. He is clearly controlling every single note in the run and he knows when to use them and when not to use them. I've heard too many singers on Idol make every note into a run and it's just damned tiresome.

I've got that on the queue too. I had just finished LWR (I mistakenly called it Long Way "Around" instead of "Round) but decided to start OITNB. On the 2nd episode of OITNB...still trying to get into it. It usually takes me a while to get into things. I was the same way with Breaking Bad (something I did start watching because of Adam) and Dexter.

I agree with Bailey that those who use them are those that can. It is a skill.
