Did I just read this right? Avicii - WMU made it to #2 on top40 chart? I do hear it played constantly on radio right now, so, I guess, I should not be surprised, but I admit I am. I think here the consensus had been...probably at #3 or 4 it would peak.So, this is great. Obviously, the better he does, the better our chances for LMD. Still holding out hope. ETA: WTF? Now it is showing at #4. Am I nuts? Ok, ignore me, I think I better go to bed. Nope, I did not drink, I am pretty sure, I saw it just 10 minutes ago. What on earth was I looking at? The published chart shows it at #3 but the rolling chart shows #2. Don't know where you are looking but All Access shows the rolling chart which is for the last 7 days and that is currently #2, if you click published to get the chart week ending this past Sunday it shows as #3. If you were looking at the billboard site the new chart won't show until Thurs or Fri so it would probably still be showing last week #4 position. |

WMU is #4 on the Hot 100. It is #2 on the Mediabase Top 40 Radio Airplay chart -- this is based on a sample of Pop/CHR radio stations and is solely radio airplay. JMHO the success of WMU in the US is good for the future of "Hey Brother" and "Addicted to Love" to be promoted to radio in the US. I cannot see how it helps LMD at all. And iTunes has "Hey Brother" still in the top 300 in many countries including #170 in the United States. Hey Brother past hour on iTunes. #1 Sweden #2 Norway #5 Germany #8 Denmark #12 Austria #14 Switzerland #17 Finland #40 Canada #41 Luxembourg #57 Australia #73 Mexico #96 Spain #100 South Africa It is the only track from the album other than WMU that is in the Top 200 in the US. And it has been there since the album dropped. |
