Adam tweeted about Eli before Eli ever said anything about Adam. Eli seems like an upstanding human. Watch some of his personal YTs, not the music ones. Read his bio. He is not your typical LA/Hollywood guy. I can see why he and Adam would relate well.

I have a theory for the Adam being Kurt's Nemesis. The episode is titled, "A Katy and A Gaga".
The songlist form GOBr is....
Roar - Unique, Jake, Sam, Marley, Tina, Artie, Ryder, Kitty, Blaine, Kurt, Rachel, Santana, Dani, & Starchild
Applause - Sam, Marley, Artie, Ryder & Blaine
Wide Awake - Tina, Unique, Jake & Kitty
Marry The Night - Starchild (Adam's character)
Today's spoilers are also pretty reliable. So Adam will be showing up at the audition for Kurt's band. Kurt (Chris Colfer), Dani (Demi Lovato) and Santana (Naya Rivera) will hold auditions for Kurt's Madonna cover band, and Adam will show up for the audition.
Perhaps Kurt is planing to be the lead singer. Then Adam shows up for the audition -- and is all Gaga, even singing "Marry the Night".
Just a thought.

Still thinking about what makes a great singer. I'm curious how y'all would answer the following questions? (There are no right or wrong answers.) 1. Does a great singer/performer have to have a great voice (in terms of technique, vocal production, etc.)? Looking at RS's top 10, which includes Bob Dylan, for some the answer is "no." What do you think? 2. Does a great singer/performer have to interpret a song with emotion that moves you? Do they have to impart meaning to the lyrics and phrasing as opposed to just sounding good or making you want to dance along? 3. Does a great singer/performer have to have a compelling stage presence/persona? Do they have to be "entertaining" or can they just immerse themselves in the music? 4. Does a great singer/performer have to be good looking, sexy, slim, young, stylish or any of the above? How important is visual appeal? 5. Do you have to like the genre or type of music they perform in order to think they are a great singer? 6. Do you have to know anything about their personality and off-stage behavior/life? Does that affect your appreciation of them as a singer/performer? 7. Does a great singer/performer need to compose their own music and/or play an instrument? I'd love to read your opinions, comments, and insights. Thanks. My answer to your questions would be "No" on all of them except for #2. And the combination of #2 with any one or MORE of the others is when you have magic. |

Q3, I was thinking about the nemesis thing too and am thinking along the same lines as you. That Adam is so amazing & blows them all away. Kurt ends up feeling like Adam is taking his place.

I think his StarChild persona will blow everyone away and the theme of the band will change, much to Kurt's dismay. I do think Adam's referring to Velvet Goldmine recently on his FB is a hint.  |
