Shoshanna thinks that his Wiki profile pic is not representative ( which I don't understand. What is a representative pic?) and she would like it to be changed. Here is the thing: it can only be posted by the person who owns the photograph. If anyone can help... I sent her Alikat's smugmug link, but those are mostly with a microphone. Aлександра Кв @aleksandrakv 41m @shoshannastone Thank you for doing a great job with Adam's wikipedia page! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Lambert … shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 28m @aleksandrakv wish there was a better pic Aлександра Кв @aleksandrakv 23m @shoshannastone The one from Vienna? I love the pic! It has to be a fan pic, right? shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 22m @aleksandrakv owned by the person putting it up. There are more representative pics Aлександра Кв @aleksandrakv 18m @shoshannastone Do you have a particular look or event in mind? No Melvin? So that I can narrow my search? shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 16m @aleksandrakv just how he looks now. With or without facial hair, makes no difference My most favorite pic of Adam is the one of him bowing after the GNT -- someone put the words Bravo at the bottom.

From Q3's headlines on p. 1 There are many singers who could be on this top 10 list, but Lennon and Dylan? Really? John Lennon always seemed fine and had a bland vocal quality, but I wouldn't call him a great singer. And Bob Dylan? Each to his own. My nomination is known to much of Adam's fan base--Nikka Costa. I think she is a brilliant singer. Here is a live performance. I started thinking about this because of the conversation in yesterday's thread. I wanted to see who was actually considered "the best singer in the world". And the "expert list" from Rolling Stone was so odd. Not just for the fact that John Lennon and Bob Dylan are odd top 10 picks. But James Brown at #10? I am still listening to music -- and it is interesting when I listen to singers I love, they are less good than I remember. SOMEBODY MESSED WITH MY STANDARDS FOR WHAT A GREAT SINGER SOUNDS LIKE. So far, Marvin Gaye is doing pretty well, but many others are not making my list. And Elvis and Elvis Costello are on my list. ETA: Not only did RS not include Streisand but they also did not include Dionne Warwick. Barbra is not my fav style but really belongs on any great singer list.

This probably won't be a popular choice, but I think Linda Ronstadt is an amazing singer and I was heartbroken to learn that she has Parkinson's and can't sing anymore. I think of her as a female Adam because she has a very strong voice, excellent control (listen to the note at about 1:22 in the video below), and versatility. She can sing soft and sweet or hard and gritty. She's done rock, pop, country, standards, Spanish songs, and Broadway. She also connects emotionally to the songs she sings, which is really important to me. Linda has a great voice I especially loved her collabs with Emmy Lou and Dolly. There may have been one other singer but I'm not sure.

Good morning. I don't know if I'd say George Michael had the best voice after Adam but I think the power and the emotion he had in his voice really showed in this video.

Good morning. I don't know if I'd say George Michael had the best voice after Adam but I think the power and the emotion he had in his voice really showed in this video. My opinion of "best" singers is influenced so much by what is sung - so they may not be technically the best singers. George Michael, Elvis have their places - as does Freddie. Emmy Lou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Roseanne Cash (how strange, all "country) and cannot forget k.d. lang. It's emotional. Adam has his place - his voice vibrates my soul. ETA: And how could I have forgotten Grace Slick.

This is so true for me, too. But thank you, Q3, for today's theme. For years I didn't have (or take) the time to listen to new or different music, and Adam and this site have been a revalation. I am listening to some who are new to me today because of this thread and those who are sharing their favorites. I feel so lucky to be here... Just found this:
