I really hate band talk. Not saying it should stop. I just feel it is Adam's career, his choice. He is a professional. Can't see him hiring anyone he doesn't deem capable just because they are a friend. In the long run, he is a solo artist. They are a back up band. They will come and go as Adam chooses! ETA: wanted to add, I guess for me, Criticizing the band always makes me feel like it implies Adam doesn't know what he's doing. ![]() What I find somewhat amusing is there were comments made after iHeart that Dr Brian was getting too old and had lost a bit. Adam will never please everybody so I am in the camp hecandowhateverhewants WUT??? TOO OLD???? I never ever heard any comment like this!!!  |

Band? What band? Cannot concentrate on anyone else when he is mere inches from me. Embarrassed to say I touched his pants when he knelt in front of me and was shocked to feel how hot (as in very warm) it was (blushing smiley)! And he did those hip thrusts in my direction! Surprised I survived!
Agree with Q3, he was the happiest I have seen him. He was radiating so much joy. I am forever thankful to that giant security guy right in front of the catwalk who gave me and DS special wristbands so we could be in the VIP section. My DS still cannot believe he was that close to his "brother".
And so thankful to the Mangokats for having us over the holidays. It meant a lot to us!

When I comment on the band, backing vocals, etc. I never mean to imply that Adam doesn't know what he is doing. Since he is an artist and something of a perfectionist, I would imagine that he would want to present himself in the best possible way. But he does have constraints, and I assume one of them is money, which leads to compromise. It's possible that he has some of the same thoughts we do -- more musicians, back-up singers, dancers, etc. So, I guess I look at my comments as more wishful thinking and hoping that he can afford to put whomever and whatever he wants on stage the next time he tours. But there are 1000s of musicians in LA. They are union and their rates do not vary much. He has many choices but chose these guys. Several people have compared to Bruno. His band has a name, "The Hooligans." Sometimes people even say "Bruno Mars and The Hooligans." They are part of Bruno's schtick. Personally, I hope Adam's band never becomes as much a part of the show as Bruno's band is. Katy and Gaga don't highlight their bands. PINK does a little, but she interacts mostly with her back up singers and dancers, all are amazing. Kelly's band is awesome & I think she has the best back up singers of anyone. But they all pretty much stay in their "spot." |

I want to hear more info about you and DS. Interesting that you commented on how hot Adam felt. When Angelina met him at the London press junket/concert in 2012 she made the same comment. Even tho' he only did 5 songs, and it was mainly sitting down, not moving around a stage, he was very warm, and wet. She could feel the heat and energy radiating off of him. It must be part of the aura that is so present in person. |
