My rabbithole tonight - the concert in Kiev. I know some prefer specific performances from London, especially if they attended them. But the overall sound quality combined with start to finish coverage is so great in the Kiev video. Here is an excellent youtube: "I Want It All" around 29 minute point -- band is in full throttle -- to bring it back around to Adam being backed by some of the very best. This entire concert was jaw dropping to me. One of the best "Under Pressure" -- Adam just wails with Rog. LOVE IT.
Re "Sound of Music", I give Carrie credit for putting herself out there in a live performance. There will be a lot of comments Carrie vs. Julie much like Adam vs Freddie. Personally, I think the movie still holds up as one of my childhood favorites.

Do you think this means Adam is singing a Christmas song? Can I dare hope for O Holy Night?? OH! PLEASE OH PLEASE! MILES I LOVE YOU! I HAVE ALWAYS SAID I WOULD LOVE ADAM TO SING OH HOLY NIGHT!!! IT'S MY FAV CHRISTMAS SONG! TO HEAR HIS BEAUTIFUL VOICE SING THAT WOULD MAKE ME...WELL CRY MORE THAN I USUALLY DO WHEN I HEAR IT HERE'S TO HOPING Is my favorite carol and would love to hear Adam sing it. So often it gets butchered by being over or under sung...

LAMBERTLUST @lambertlust 40m cartermatt - ‘Glee’ season 5, episode 9 preview; Adam Lambert returns in ‘Frenemies’ cartermatt.com/98600/glee-season-5-episode-9-preview-adam-lambert-returns-in-frenemies/ …
In February, “Glee” will be back on the air, and thankfully, you are going to get an opportunity to try to move on quickly from what was an unholy mess of an episode in “Previously Unaired Christmas.” The next new episode will not only take place in the present (thankfully), or at least the present as constituted for the show (which is around May). As for the title of this hour, it is something that sums up in one word the relationship between many of the characters right now: “Frenemies.” Sadly, the first promo below from Fox doesn’t give away anything at all. instead, it’s just old footage from the season so far. So instead, we’re going to have to settle for what we know about this episode already. 1. Adam Lambert will be back as Starchild, and Demi Lovato is presumably also going to return once again as Dani. Starchild and Kurt are going to continue to clash, which really should not be much of a surprise to anyone right now. 2. Back at McKinley, we’ll be getting closer and closer to graduation, meaning that we will start to see Sam, Blaine, and others continue to think about where they want to live, and what they want to do. There is a big world of possibility for them, but they have to figure out just what they want from it. That may be all that is really known about this episode right now, mostly because the show does not want to give too much away for something that is more than two months away. All we can hope for is more from the New York City storyline, especially we know already that this is the direction that the show has already shown an interest in going. What do you want to see on “Glee” when the show comes back? be sure to share some of your thoughts below! Also, click here to read our full “Previously Unaired Christmas” review.

So often it gets butchered by being over or under sung... I love Christmas! I love Christmas carols. I hate Oh, Holy Night! For precisely the reason you state... it is usually terribly over sung. It is written that way. Very schmaltzy. However, IF Adam were to tackle it, I am confident he would sing it with nuance and subtlety, building to a strong, but meaningful climax. He is such a great song interpreter. Sadly, I don't see our unorthidox Jewish boy singing Christmas carols, especially one as religious as OHN.
