Conjecture:
Inference or judgement based on inconclusive or incomplete evidence; guesswork
A statement, conclusion, or opinion based on guesswork.
These definitions seemed particularly pertinent tonight. Now, if I'm wrong and someone has authentic inside information they can't share concerning the workings of Adam's career, management, or future, I apologize. Otherwise, I'm going back to Twitter where the CONJECTURE concerning Adam and Sauli's relationship is much more entertaining, even salacious at times, and makes me want to laugh rather than tear my hair out.

If there will be a Queenbert tour it would be sometime after March which is suppose to be Adam's time. Either way having a tour at all is once again right in the middle of another album era. I really believe the reason why we had a tour the first time was because Adam and his people already knew there would be no album support for TSP. I think they took the opportunity for $$$. It can't be for exposure because from a marketing point fronting a 40yr band performing old songs isn't going to do anything for Adam's actual career. If there will be a Queen tour than I would have to believe that they know Adam's US audience. No management in their right mind would have their popstar tour with a band that doesn't expose him to a more current audience unless they think that is the best they got. Cover album? heh. Those glee fans aren't going to run out and buy Queen tickets. Not. going. to. happen. which leads be to say why even do it. Shoshanna is Adam's publicist so it's her job to say good things are coming and in Shoshanna's world that doesn't give me much confidence. Also Adam says every year that the next will rock. My worst fear is the big 2014 news for Adam is going to be Queen tour. Can you tell I'm not as enthusiastic for Adam/Queen. Waste of time. I think it's a fun side project for Adam and I had a great time seeing them live. I grew up listening to the songs though so I'm not really interested in hearing multiple versions but as long as Adam or his mgmt aren't actively prioritizing it over Adam's music then I don't think it's a hindrance. Plus it was a good way for Adam to get to perform in places where Trespassing was dead in the water and he wouldn't have been able to otherwise. I have faith that he can make album #3 take off and do a few Queen shows!! I think that the QAL 3 stop mini-tour in Eastern Europe (not counting London here) had a great deal to do with Adam being able to fill 4-5k seats in the Eastern Europe WAG mini-tour! There was no GNL tour in that area, so they mostly would know of Adam from his touring with Queen. So I think his QAL mini-tour payed off in terms of new fans in new locations!

I think Adam's associations with Queen, Glee, Avici and Niles, etc. have been invaluable to his personal growth and confidence, and his growth and credibility within the music industry. I hope these connections continue in some form. It's all win-win for Adam.

Also, I gave a CD with music from one of the London QAL shows to a mid-40's guy at work this past summer. On his way home from work that day, I got a call from him - WOW THIS GUY IS GOOD!!! He and his 3 teenage sons listened to the CD a number of times while traveling on vacation and they all loved it. Prior to this, I could not get him to listen to Adam's own music. Adam's working with Queen IS opening up new fans. They may not all be the Pop type of listeners, but Adam's music is not typical Pop. It will likely always be something more than just Pop.

[grinning while thinking about Todrick Hall's Chicago parody] Not dots. SPOTS !!![grin turns sheepish] And savvy, I'm refusing to conjecture about Sauli b/c I've got way too much emotional investment in a pretty blonde Finn than what's good for me, and I find talking about career stuff mentally easier!

I OFTEN wonder what Adam thinks about career trajectory thing, savvy92. And, I agree, he rightly plays those cards very close to his chest - but wouldn't it be interesting to know?
I know most everyone thinks BTIKM was not a good single selection, and I suppose the proof is in the pudding, but I really loved the mv, and bought the dynamic Adam portrayed in it. He is mostly "cozy sweater" Adam in his interviews, but I bet booze- swigging, sneering, "bad" Adam had a few things to say about/a few choice gestures for, the end of the RCA relationship.
Right now, I love Adam being on "Glee." It's more eyeballs on him, more ears hearing him. I hope he has new songs, his own songs, soon, though, and that they could be featured on SOMETHING - DWTS, SYTYCD, a commercial, and/or a big movie. And I would love if the animation voice-over rumor panned out.
Katy Perry can check all those things and more off her list, but she has been dealt some very lucky cards. Despite Adam being, IMO, more talented and just as good- looking, funny, smart, and personable, who knows if he'll ever play at the highest high-rollers' table?
I would like an interviewer to ask Adam more about his ambition - if he wants to be as famous as he possibly can be (because that definitely has drawbacks) or how he would define success for himself. I think it's clear that radio acceptance is important to him.
