These smileys show up just fine for me. Animation and everything. Is it some Internet Explorer mojo that doesn't work on any other browser?? They are probably on your computer -- in your browser's cache memory. I need a web hosted address. |

They have been rolling out a new version of Photobucket and it is temporary messing up stuff. It happened to me then was magically fixed. Thanks for answering, Q3. Hope fine gets fixed soon. |

weel i had an unfortumate experience (ah near shit mysel) i hae visitors ,an the spare room ,is next tae the "office" the wee bit where the PC lives,as they had gone tae bed ,ah thowt ah wid be sociable ,an use thae heedphones (earplug things ) but this morning ,ah decided to take the vac oot fer some excercice ,so ah turned the speakers up full , so ah shoved thae things in ma lugs ,and clicked go on this vid ,IT WIS FULL BLAST, ah thowt the IRA hid come tae git me (sorry irish) ma eardrums are perforated ,and my ass sore ,frae fallin backwards aff thae chair, but once i adjusted the sound ,yeh its good  Sorry for the tinnitus |

There are some smileys that I've never seen. "  " and "  " for example have always shown up on my computer as words. When someone gets excited about some Adam news, what I see is: Most of the other smileys show up fine. Same here. |

I am flattered that folks want to view and maybe order my Adam calendar. I started making them three years ago when I couldn't find a commercially made one, and Lee Cherry didn't produce one either. Why spend money on promotion, if you can sell like this without it. Does anyone know, who is the unlucky #2, who probably assumed they would have a #1 for the week, and now they got pushed down the ladder? I have to say, I really like what Beyonce did here. Smart lady. Also like that method of making for one week only the album available, and then after that opening it up for individual purchases. And she also thumped her nose at radio with this one, whose relevance continues to deteriorate. She really did this one right, imo. We will see more of that sales model, I'm positive. Not sure, it is a workable model for smaller artists, who don't have the world's attention. But Adam, for example, has a fixed fan base that will buy without any spending on promotion. If promotion is not sufficiently able to demonstrate that it can generate additional buyers, then the question is, whether it is worth anything. i.e. Adam could sell the first week, just to his fan base, using the Beyonce one stop online release model and then use online promotional tools after initial release, and add other promotion, depending on radio's willingness to come around or not. It will be interesting, what he does for A3. Without Beyone's surprise release, the #1 album would have been "Blame It All On My Roots: Five Decades Of Influences" by Garth Brooks which is projected to sell 150-160K units. Beyonce sold 80K units in 3 hours. From Billboard Biz "Beyonce's last studio set "4" sold 310,000 in its debut week in July of 2011, but that was with a full sales week and a marketing/media push leading up to the release. It is an interesting commentary on the influence of social media in today's world if "Beyonce" can come close to that sum with just social buzz driving the project instead of weeks of traditional media promotion normally part of the album release playbook."I agree, we will see other artists do this. But only stars can do this and sell this much. I think Lady Gaga might have sold more of ArtPop without all the promotion -- it was just tiresome. I would be very happy if the promotional level dropped a lot. It all feels so "Michael Jackson" to me. |
