loved reading these posts on the possible business side of what he's been doing; he has always said he was in it for the long haul. I hope I live long enough to read his autobiography - it would be fascinating!

Debra @debralyn22 49m Video: lilinas: wingsofwriting: So this is the moment I fell in love with Adam Lambert. I watched this... tmblr.co/ZlMKEw13jvtYi

So this is the moment I fell in love with Adam Lambert.
I watched this season live and while I wasn’t his fan the entire season, I always liked him. This is when he became my front runner, and I knew I would be buying any album he produced thereafter. This is where I started routing for him to win.
For those of you who have only known Adam in the years since Idol (or from Glee), I recommend you watch this video. It’s a side of Adam you don’t see very often and it remains a spectacular performance even years after.
Me when I saw this post: It has to be Mad World. It must be. Fuck yeah! It is! Of course it is!
Still the single, solitary American Idol song in my music library. And the iTunes version is even better.
I've never been able to warm up to this song even by Adam. Something about it just rubs my ears the wrong way and while the staging of the Idol performance is great, it also has one of the few really obviously bum notes I've ever heard Adam do (I know there have been others a bit off and some done on purpose messing about). He pulls it back in but always makes me grimace when I watch the clip because I know it's coming... I think I'm also biased against the song because we got it as the encore at the Melbourne GNT show rather than 20th Century Boy which was only minor (really really minor) bum out of whole show :-) But I can understand why others love it - hey even my husband really likes Adam's version of it and along with Ring of Fire is the only Adam song he has put in his library.

Craazyforadam I like the way you think. I have been reading web sites on the music business and I've seen glimpses of your scenario but not filled out like you described. This is the first business plan that has made sense to me. Paying for what you need and contracting it out as needed. A 360 deal has always sounded like it was just this side of fraud to me. For a man like Adam who does not like to be told what to do (I can relate) it puts the reins in his hands and he certainly has the talent and the intellenge to pull it off.

That was easy. Thanks for posting it. maybe we are dividing the vote , because Adam is good at so many.. think we should stick to one, singer.. he has the most votes there.. pretty sad showing .. we can do better

Interesting scenario from craazyforadam, but i don't see it happening that way.
The one thing Adam has lacked is radio play. You need a label with an aggressive radio team to get that, if you are not one of the annointed ones (Katy, Bruno, etc.) Adam said he was talking to labels when he was on Ellen, I believe him. Shosh has hinted that he has a label in replies to fans. I could be wrong, but IMO, Adam needs a label. It is up to DMG to get him the best deal. I believe they can and have.
ETA: If he wasn't meeting with a specific label, in NYC (cough"Island"cough) there would really be little reason for him to go there. LA is the center of the entertainment industry in the US. I am sure he could have made many business deals here for his brand without having to go to NYC.
I am sticking with, he met with his label (cough"Island"cough.) They gave him the go ahead on his demos and new music is coming soon!
