but... but.... mys*&@^#r, they didn't even look at each other! Well, I could only watch about 3/4 of the vid, because I always hated that song. Maybe they actually looked at each at the end? IMO, this why any duet that Adam does is FABULOUS, because he totally engages with the other person---> it's a true duet. There was zero interaction goin' on between these two. I think Ivy glanced over at Sting several times, but for Sting it was almost like Ivy didn't exist. Gotta agree with you, Seoulmate. Ivy was trying her best to sauce up the song and get her body moving, but I've never seen Sting so sticklike. She had nothing to play off and wasn't about to steal the limelight from a legend. He didn't move or interact..I was so rooting for Ivy. Was this her first TV appearance? (and I have huge respect for Sting..off night perhaps?) This duet could have been SO much fun. And it fell flat for me. Sting is very respectful of his wife Trudie and he is likely very careful of his body language with a woman like Ivy. She is ridiculously beautiful. Sting has never been one to have lots of moves anyway. He's a more reserved Brit. Just not his thing. I think he was showcasing Ivy. He really was virtually back-up. Well done.

My memory is not all it should be but I can think of a number of times we have seen Adam in duets...some pre idol and others post. My prayer twice...once with cantor ??name? and with Noa Dori [sp? again] Duet at pr event for Wicked; most/many stage singing has elements of a 'duet' in that there is sharing of the spotlight idol and post idol: Alison Iraheta; Kris Allen [finale; Ford showcase]; Alison and Kris [RMT] Alisan [Aftermath]; Angie [Titanium]; Young contestant in China [WWFM]; Fun w/Queen, iheart; Russian/Ukraine singer w/queen @ Kiev; I am sure I have missed lots...I have ignored 'group' sings or just audio [such as with Eden Espinoza] What about Aurea at Hennesey?!!! OMG!!! Hot, hot, hot!!! That particular duet pretty much burned up my computer OMG!!!!

inglamwetrust @inglamwetrust 23m Gee, @michaelorland looks really frustrated. After working with @adamlambert's perfection on #idol, I can't blame him. Michael Orland @michaelorland 8m @inglamwetrust @adamlambert what a great way to look at that!!!!What is this about? I don't understand the context...

Okay, I need to know a couple of things: 1) How did Adam "overshare" during the runup to FYE and Trespassing? 2) And if he actually *did* overshare, how did that hurt him in the long run? How did his sharing hurt critical reception and sales promo? As y'all know, I don't do twitter, so I can't go back 3-4 years and see what kind of sharing was going on at the time, but my tired old brain doesn't remember stuff that would have hurt Adam's promo and/or the reception to his music. Can you guys enlighten me, please? TBH, I don't remember too much leading up to Trespassing's release (except the delays and the ultra crappy BTIKM), but I do remember the build up to FYE and it was SO MUCH FUN because there were so many tweets from various songwriters/producers and everyone was so excited! I guess because he shared so many of his collaborators, such as producers and writers. We knew about almost all the songs before the album came out. But I do agree with you that I don't see how the sharing hurt his reviews. Because except for maybe 2 biased reviewers, his reviews were excellent. Billboard and RS loved it! and I believe People Magazine gave Trespassing 4 stars, too, which is almost unheard of! I dunno... I still can't really understand why pre-album tweets from songwriters and producers going "OMG!" and Adam communicating excitement over the process can hurt anything. BTIKM hurt things, because it's a piece of crap, but the pre-flailing about stuff was certainly fun for the fan base... non-fans probably didn't even know pre-flailing was even goin' on. LOL

I guess then I don't have a clue why they bothered to call it a duet. It was an odd combination of artists. Don't get the reference of respect to Sting's wife..this is the music biz. Men sing with women sometimes. I know Sting isn't known for 'moves', but a little interaction would have made all the difference IMO. Ivy would have nailed that song with her sass if she had solo'd. I feel she was respectfully deferring to Sting, who IS the legend on that stage, to lead. Like Adam doesn't overpower his duet partners. Agree to disagree, bb..
