My memory is not all it should be but I can think of a number of times we have seen Adam in duets...some pre idol and others post. My prayer twice...once with cantor ??name? and with Noa Dori [sp? again] Duet at pr event for Wicked; most/many stage singing has elements of a 'duet' in that there is sharing of the spotlight idol and post idol: Alison Iraheta; Kris Allen [finale; Ford showcase]; Alison and Kris [RMT] Alisan [Aftermath]; Angie [Titanium]; Young contestant in China [WWFM]; Fun w/Queen, iheart; Russian/Ukraine singer w/queen @ Kiev; I am sure I have missed lots...I have ignored 'group' sings or just audio [such as with Eden Espinoza] THANK YOU, MSZUE!!! I'm going to re-visit these duets, but even as I was reading your list, little mental pictures of all these performances were coming back to me, and in every single one of them, Adam was 100% engaged with his duet partner!! don't forget the amazing Shady duet with Sam Sparro at the WAFF on jan 31, 2013! |

I guess because he shared so many of his collaborators, such as producers and writers. We knew about almost all the songs before the album came out. But I do agree with you that I don't see how the sharing hurt his reviews. Because except for maybe 2 biased reviewers, his reviews were excellent. Billboard and RS loved it! and I believe People Magazine gave Trespassing 4 stars, too, which is almost unheard of! I dunno... I still can't really understand why pre-album tweets from songwriters and producers going "OMG!" and Adam communicating excitement over the process can hurt anything. BTIKM hurt things, because it's a piece of crap, but the pre-flailing about stuff was certainly fun for the fan base... non-fans probably didn't even know pre-flailing was even goin' on. LOL You are looking at it like a fan which we are and so that is the easiest way to see it. The press and media need something new. And the more Don't get me wrong, I think the weaknesses about Trespassing's promotion had to do with a lot more than a disappointing lead single. or Adam and his collaborators sharing too much. Mostly, the lead single is an symptom of the problem -- RCA did not support Adam's album and the music he brought them. Without the label, and with the somewhat experimental direction the album took -- the songs are complex, and the lyrics to some of the songs said something. Look at a promotional master, Nile, he saves his energy and "moment" in the news for the release and after the release. He is brilliant. Adam is learning and getting so much better. There is someone who I adore (Brian May) who is worse at keeping a secret than Adam. Queen fans just discount a lot of what Brian says may happen. Really not that big of a deal except for the waiting fans -- including me --- who want to know what is going to happen. |

Okay, with the help of the proxfree-page I could finally listen to that new Glee song "Rockstar"!  For me this is one of the most boring and featureless songs I've ever heard! YAWN!!!  I really hope the Glee version will sound more interesting!  |
