Been busy with family stuff the last few days and haven't been able to Adam stan as usual. Just listened to the Glee songs. It looks like folks are sharing their opinions, so I will, too.
Barracuda? Just love Adam's voice on this song. A real rock edge but still a rich, full tone, not harsh or brittle. 3D for sure! Lea, not so much. Oh, she has a great voice, but can't get away from Broadway and give it a grittier rock sound. These two might be great in a Broadway duet or ballad, but I think this song would have been stronger with just Adam singing.
As for the other three? What a total waste of talent. You have this guy with an incredible voice who is also a master at interpretation, and you have him singing generic background vocals. What's the point? Yes, I know Glee is an ensemble show, but Adam has moved so beyond being in the back line of the chorus. Yes, any time Adam is singing in a group, he makes it sound better, fuller, but, that is by far not the best use of his talent. IMO.
