I am beyond thrilled with all the publicity/promotion for Queen with Adam Lambert!
"Perception is reality." If the media covers the announcement of the tour and tells the public that this is a monumental event, then it is. If radio stations are talking up the tour and offering tickets months before the concert, it becomes the show to go to this summer. If you play the "STOMP, STOMP, CLAP" of WWRY big and bold on a promotional ad everyone sees, you implant the concert idea with all the exciting sports events listeners call to mind when they hear it. Hence, attending the concert will be exciting in the same way.
The promotional team for Queen and Adam are doing a bang-up job of making the concert seem like an extraordinary event. Even if I were not a fan of Queen or Adam, I would be intrigued and encouraged to buy a ticket. Way to go!

[grins] I think everyone is totally flailed out from yesterday.  Not me.  I don't understand how everyone got tickets. I was online at the appointed hour and nothing was available at Mohegan Sun Center. I'm going to whine. Woe is me. Seems like a lot of people got great tickets for hundreds of dollars. That is so wonderful but so not what I can ever afford (public school teacher here). I'm hoping for tickets Friday. |
