LOL Lots of information, songs, videos ,etc. about Freddie and Queen , maybe we can have a section just for Queen on Adamtopia. In the meantime.. My focus will be on Adam

Posted by Q3 last night and bears repeating! One of Max Martin's biggest strengths is writing songs that suit an artist.
Yes! Exhibit A and my favourite song Max Martin has been involved with: Taio Cruz - Dynamite Ultimate earworm. Love that song - YEP, this is exactly the kind of song success that I am convinced Adam wants, the kind of song that everyone in the car, on the school bus, lying on the beach, etc. sings along to, however badly, when they hear it - and has FUN with. Adam, in his nice, collaborative, "cupcake," sweet, team-player, positive way, I think, still wants to SMASH, CONQUER, and KILL top 40 radio, without ever failing to be very appreciative, of course, of everything he has done and is doing. I think he wants HIS "California Gurls," "Dark Horse," no expense spared, flaming head-dress and MUCH MUCH MORE type mv, and award show performances, and it wouldn't it be SWEET, so sweet, if that happened? Of course, it's not like MM involvement is a guarantee of anything. But it shows me Adam is up at bat again and swinging hard - I'm not sighing disappointedly, I'm screaming and cheering for a HIT!

But, but, but..... what about the southeast? We are still shunned. (Yeah, folks in every major city in the US that does not have a Queen concert scheduled are crying the same thing.) ETA: There is a beautiful arena only five miles from my home in metro Atlanta. No downtown traffic and parking. It would be perfect! Honest! All the big acts are booked there. PLEEEEEZ.

Anyone think it's possible that Adam's FB posting of Red House yesterday was possibly reassurance or a hint to fans that he's not going down a Britney Spears/Back Street Boys pop road? I can't wait to hear what magic MM can produce. I hate hate hate Taylor Swift's voice, but every time those stupid songs of hers come on the car radio they get stuck in my head for the rest of the day... I'd love to have that happen for Adam. Skipping through that 19-minute video of MM hits last night I did hear a lot of variety there.

OT -- It is the second day of Spring and we have a beautiful snow storm in NE Ohio. Looks like Christmas snowglobe snow! ** On Max Martin, I really recommend have a broader view of this supremely talented man. For starters, before he was a producer he was a rock musician -- and in a heavy, Scandinavian-style rock band. If anyone can help Adam figure out how to integrate Rock into Mainstream Pop music it is Max Martin. Setting that aside, a few thoughts.... 1. Adam is a very smart, experienced and determined man. He has his own vision. Trust him. It is not 2009 and he is not there to sing the vocal to a track someone else has written. It is his team. I am sure he got to recommend people to bring into the writing sessions. 2. Several weeks with Max Martin, and allowing Max Martin to run a writing camp, is a huge investment. The last time I know about something like this happening, and the only time I think it happened, was back in the n' Sync days. I do not know if any label has funded this before. For example, for the Britney Spear writing camp, the song writers were assembled in Texas, but the big producers (Max Martin and Dr Luke) did not attend. > Something like this took more than money. This took label guarantees for promotion and distribution of the music. This too someone with massive credibility working with Adam. (And DMG is not enough.) I say it points to Jason Flom and UMG, but there are other possibilities. But it must be someone respected working with Adam. > If you are not impressed with Max Martin, and/or do not like his music, at least realize that Max IS the most important and successful man in pop music. He has more hits that Michael Jackson and Madonna TOGETHER. A Max Martin song will get radio airplay in the US. 3. The writing camp involves a lot of people. One that we are sure of is Joe Janiak who does indie pop. So whatever is going on in Sweden, it is not a typical set of pop songwriters. 4. Most importantly --- Max Martin has a track record of working with people with strong vocals on pop songs -- notable Kelly Clarkson and Pink. Finally, if three of Max's 16 #1 songs ["Dynamite", "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "So What"] sound the same to you, you are actually not listening to the music. "Dynamite" (Tao Cruz) is a dance-pop, R&B song with 120 BPM (fast version for clubs is 140 BPM). (6xP in the US! and still selling) "I Knew You Were Trouble" (Taylor Swift) is electropop and incorporates dubstep. (debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, 416,000 copies sold in its first week) "So What" (Pink) is an uptempo pop-rock song. ^ That was hilarious! If I had made that entry later on, I probably would have tried to include that! The business suit all wrong ,stripping one item at a time.. added meaning to Don't Stop Me Now... LOL Lots of information, songs, videos ,etc. about Freddie and Queen , maybe we can have a section just for Queen on Adamtopia. In the meantime.. My focus will be on Adam Queen is currently Adam news. Just like Glee was Adam news. If it bores you, scroll. But no, I do not want a Queen section on Adamtopia.

I'm not one to genuflect before someone like Max Martin, whatever his worldly success. Congratulations to him, but I only care about Adam. And, for that reason, I am happy about everything this collaboration indicates, stated well by many of the posters here yesterday. When this whole Adam thing got started for me, and I became fully aware of the scope of Adam's ambitions, I used to worry that Adam would sell out his artistic integrity to get the success he obviously craves. Those are among the powerful impulses that war inside him that he dramatized so well in the BTIKM video. After five years, and having observed Adam and been here for all the ups and downs of the famous roller coaster, I no longer worry about that. In all this time, Adam has never once sold out his artistic or personal integrity. He has fought to keep it against enormous pressure to cast it aside. In a field like show business, that's a pretty remarkable track record. I feel sanguine about this collaboration. I think what comes out of it will be Adam music. This is not about making selections from Max Martin's big bag o' hits. This is about what it's been about from day one. It is about how Adam Lambert wants to show the world. I know I will love it. If the new label knows how to do its job it will be a hit. I think we're in for a hell of a ride. Still half asleep, but Junnie I think you hit the nail on the head. I enjoy reading everyones view which enlightens mine but I too believe that Adam will be Adam. I am not so delighted about Max, except and it is a big one, he has the reputation for hits and perhaps that is a self fulfilling prophecy that what he writes with Adam has a head start up the radio chart. More coffee now.
