This is totally as far as I know only wishful thinking.....but Q3, have you been whispering wishes into Memphis djs ears? LOL
FROM IDF: WITH GRAIN OF SALT! "A Memphis dj on one of our rock stations said he heard that after this first leg of the tour, Queen will hit some of the southern states. I hope he knows what he's talking about." Interesting. Maybe they left end of July/early August open for more dates. Is that a normal thing? Seems like such big moving parts for them to improvise like this, unless it's a planned inprov, ha. |

(hubby had hip replacement surgery on Monday so i am reduced to posting with emoticons until I have more time! LOL! BTW, he is doing fine, just driving me nuts!) Glad to hear your husband is doing fine and wish him full recovery soon.  |

I also don’t understand why I haven’t seen ANY promo for this show in my city. We’re an important concert market for Montreal, as we’re right in between Toronto and Montreal. It’s perfectly common practice for people here to attend concerts in Montreal. That's odd because I heard radio promo in my city (on a classic rock station) and there isn't a show anywhere near here. Not even remotely- I am in very rural Kentucky. Closest shows to me (SO FAR!!) are Chicago or Detroit. Montreal has been such an Adam fanning area...I agree...disappointing advertising may be part of the factor. Just have to cross fingers that the will up the ante with promo at the dates get closer. In Calgary, I have yet to see anything major. In the 2 local newspapers a 2 by 3 inch print article on the entertainment page one day ...a tv add ( iheart Adam) twice on one channel during the news for several nights...one radio station had a contest, and a few off the cuff remarks along with other artists coming to Calgary by other DJ's. I am not a media guru...so there was probably more....but....me being average gal...that us all I have heard/ seen. The tickets sold well on the initial opening days, in spite of the rather average announcement/ advertising...but the new adds of tickets are languishing. Perhaps as the date of the concert comes closer they will promote with more ticket give-a-ways on radio stations ...and the promoting group will get more aggressive. It is in their best interest to sell tickets! |
