Continuing with random Adam mentions in Finland. *Adam mention in connection with Sauli in the radio 'SuomiPop' (Mar 27; btw the station plays only Finnish music). They have morning show where the hosts chat a lot, I only listened to the clip and didn't quite get the idea as there was no plot, just idle chatter to incorporate some people, mainly Jannika B and Sauli, being hot topics this week. They talked about beautiful people and artists, couples (one of the partners being a big star) and their divorces/separations. Sauli and Adam's mystery pics from Stockholm were brought up and relationship speculation ensued. *Another Adam mention on TheVoice radio website (Mar 26). The Norwegian singer Julie doing promo for her new song was the reason for the short article but the text is mainly about her meeting Adam. www.voice.fi/musiikki/norjalaislaulaja-julie-bergan-ei-tunnistanut-kuuluisaa-jenkkipopparia/1/59665Norwegian singer Julie Bergan didn't recognize famous US pop star
Norwegian Julie Bergan thought the famous US singer was charming. (pic of Julie) Norwegian Julie Bergan is a woman that has risen to great popularity in a very short amount of time. The first single of the young lady, 'Younger', has got a lot of radio play, especially in her home country. The gal who is visiting Finland at the moment, met a real super star a couple of days ago in Stockholm. The young lady namely got to chat with none else than Adam Lambert. - I found him really good-looking and super nice. I really didn't know who he was before my friends told me and sang snippets of his songs, she laughs. Listen to Julie's first single 'Younger' below. (video)

At the end of yesterday's thread I noticed people starting to worry about the content of the American Idol/Adam threads on TWoP. I saved all the first Adam thread and most of the second to .mht files some time ago, as I find those threads to be invaluable historical references. Of course I will be catching up with the remainder of thread #2 before the site goes belly up. I have this stored on three computers, an external hard drive, and with Carbonite, so feel it is quite safe. I know it needs to be stored in several places just to be sure it will remain somewhat accessible, and storage here is an excellent idea. But given the previous loss of Planet Fierce stuff I think the more people that store this information the better So go grab it but rest assured that I have a personal copy as well. As far as all of Jacob's recaps, there are pdf's of Terra's compilations floating around, of which I also have copies. I think I can email them- they are about 3.4MB each (there are two), though. Buders, that is great that you have a bulk of it already. Would you be willing to share the files with others, or post them on the internet, so others can also get access? I don't know anything about archiving web pages and copy/paste seems ridiculously time-consuming.

In Sweden, google gives only the one metro.se article on Adam being in Stockholm and working with Max Martin. So I don't think press has nothing to do with LMD on the charts - the remix album sounds more probable cause. 'Aftonbladet' had a piece earlier (Mar 4) on Tove Lo regarding her newly released music that mentioned her working in Max Martin's team and that she has been writing for other people (Icona Pop, Cher Lloyd, Girls Aloud, Lea Michele) but Adam was not mentioned. www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/musik/article18472413.ab

Remember that general sales for the new shows start today. I got an email saying the TD Boston ones are on sale at 9:00 a.m. ET, but that doesn't seem to be working get. Only pre-sale and premium tickets are available at the moment. Maybe they meant 10:00.
Q3: Dropping this in here --- Boston goes on-sale to the public TOMORROW....
THE 5 ADDED CONCERTS Onsale to General Public
BOSTON Start: Sat, 03/29/14 09:00 AM EDT

]now you are confusing me, Talon.... everyone seems to be saying Queen is THE GOD in the UK as well as the rest of the world sans the US...so how is it QAL can sell multiple 20K venues in the US, including one in NYC but they could not in London? Oh 20,000 venues they could definitely sell out of in Europe. I have no doubt about that. Wembley Stadium is closer to 90,000. While Queen is a national institution they are still an older band. So I'm not certain (especially since it's half of Queen with an American singer) whether they would sell out a 90,000 seat stadium. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but I think a Queen + Adam + Guests definitely could.

OTOTOT Definitely premature to bring this up, but I saw a TV commercial for it tonight so googled it. At first thought it would be just metal acts, but since Beyonce, JT and Springsteen played the last one....I guess not. Probably unrealistic pipe dream for Adam to perform at the next one Rock in Rio heading to Las Vegas in 2015 March 25, 2014 10:48 AM Relaxnews The long-running music festival Rock in Rio is to make its US debut, it was announced Tuesday. Las Vegas will host the inaugural US event in May 2015. Rock in Rio first took place in the Brazilian city in 1985, when nearly 1.4 million people attended. The festival went on to spawn incarnations in Madrid, Lisbon and Buenos Aires and returned to Brazil in 2013. That edition -- which sold out its 600,000 tickets in four hours -- featured Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Muse and Alice in Chains. For Rock in Rio USA, a permanent open-air concert venue christened the "City of Rock" will be custom-built with capacity for around 80,000 people a day. The venue will feature five stages, streetscapes representing Brazil, the US and the UK, a VIP area and amusement park rides. Tickets for Rock in Rio USA will go on sale to the general public in January 2015 and can currently be reserved on the festival website. For more information, visit rockinrio.com or find Rock in Rio on Facebook (facebook.com/RockInRioUSA) and Twitter (twitter.com/rockinriousa). See a preview of the City of Rock: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoOiPWqng90news.yahoo.com/rock-rio-heading-las-vegas-2015-144820218.htmlThis makes me sad...not sure why. But I always think of Vegas and Disney as the places entertainment goes to die. Not playing Vegas, but when something becomes a Vegas "attraction". I know it is not rational, just my first response. ** And, yes, with the right bill, I would probably go. What makes the right bill? Any bill with Adam on it!

I didn't realize two things: 1) Wembley is 90K 2) Queen needs help from magical guests to sell that many tickets... I wonder who would be able to sell Wembley?

Not very gracious of Justin. He clearly implies that he didn't want Glee to cover this and that it slipped by on 'someone else's watch' He only just manages a little goodwill towards Adam who has raised Justin's profile a couple of times (with Music Again and Glee). He has a perfect right not to want his songs 'covered', of course.... Justin Hawkins @justinhawkins Nov 28@adamlambert is it true that you'll sing a @thedarkness song on Glee? I sincerely hope it is. Much love to you x Yes, I remembered he'd said something like this - that's what made me surprised at the about turn here....perhaps he is happy about Adam but not Glee.

I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but I think a Queen + Adam + Guests definitely could. I think that playing Wembley Stadium again would be a mistake -- and not because they could not fill the stadium -- I think they good is the tickets for the cheap seats were cheap. IMO this is something that they should leave lay. Those two concerts were the last Freddie concerts {ETA on tour!} They had 150,000 to 160,000 people there on two nights. And the crowd, the entire crowd sang most of the concert with Freddie and Roger and Brian. **** The reasons I suggested O2 is because it is.... 1. The #1 venue in the world. 2. It is a great venue -- an arena with decent acoustics. 3. It would sell out quickly, and be filled with 20,000 Queen fans. Fans who know the music, fans who love the band. (A large part of a Queen concert is the audience.) 4. It is NOT replicating the past, it would be a way to say this music is alive and should be performed and celebrated. 5. I think Freddie would have loved O2. I like to be surrounded by splendid things.
Freddie Mercury
ETA: I added in a note to correct my error but I will leave it.
And bad mistakes ‒
I've made a few.
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through.
