Justin Hawkins @justinhawkins Nov 28@adamlambert is it true that you'll sing a @thedarkness song on Glee? I sincerely hope it is. Much love to you x Yes, I remembered he'd said something like this - that's what made me surprised at the about turn here....perhaps he is happy about Adam but not Glee. That is my take -- we know Justin respects Adam, but there is no chance he respect what Glee did to that song. JMHO on the later but.....except for the Adam parts, that was very TV musical, and Chris Colfer is very "pageant" in my book.

Talons Take: In The Lap Of The GodsHey Talon, can I just say how much I appreciate your "Talon's Take"s on these songs? Particularly on what you consider essential listening and the historical reasons why. THANK YOU !!

Talons Take: In The Lap Of The GodsHey Talon, can I just say how much I appreciate your "Talon's Take"s on these songs? Particularly on what you consider essential listening and the historical reasons why. THANK YOU !! :D Aww shucks! Thanks! I think that playing Wembley Stadium again would be a mistake -- and not because they could not fill the stadium -- I think they good is the tickets for the cheap seats were cheap. They could yes. Actually Knebworth was the last Queen gig. Wembley was on that tour yes and is probably the most known Queen concert, but Knebworth with somewhere around 120,000 definite and reportedly over 200,000 actual in attendance. **** I'm not saying O2 is a bad choice. I agree that as of now it is the #1. It is a great venue. I would bet it would sell out. Freddie loving the o2. Yeah definitely. As for #4...well that's kind of what I meant. I was proposing Wembley if "this is it". If this is the last "Queen on tour" gig only - it would definitely about celebrating the past...and fits in with Brian's "Let's rock these venues one last time" kind of vibe. I mean only B&R really know but there have been statements of this could be it as far as touring goes. I would believe in one offs here but no big Queen peformances and if that IS the case, then Wembley could fit the bill well. Queen + All their friends...Adam would be the centerpiece at this point in their career but guests pins by people like the Foo Fighters, Paul Rodgers, The Darkness, Muse, George Michael, Elton John, David Bowie, etc. A BIG sendoff as only Queen could do... If it's NOT it, than the O2 would also be my first choice

Oh, I just flip-flopped Knebworth and Wembley -- I need to drink more coffee before I post anything! *** I am not the sharpest tack first AM! (Clearly.) *** I will not clean up my post but add a note!

Buders, that is great that you have a bulk of it already. Would you be willing to share the files with others, or post them on the internet, so others can also get access? I don't know anything about archiving web pages and copy/paste seems ridiculously time-consuming. Well, it is ridiculously time consuming, which is why I am not 100% up to date. You just go one page at a time and "save page as." The hardest part is naming each page sequentially without screwing up. It helps to have a comfy chair where you can put your feet up, a keyboard you can put in your lap, no cats around, and TV or something nearby to keep you occupied once your fingers have learned the save/name routine. Currently I have close to 800 files (almost 100MB of .mht files which are already compressed to save space) and I'd guess about 400 or so to go. I had planned to burn them to a disc at some point, if only to preserve them for the future. Once that is done they're easily shared. If there is an easier way to do it let me know!

Outdated attitudes by most! Now Vegas is where current stars, even Pop and Rock, go to make millions! Residency at a venue is huge now!

<snip>He has a perfect right not to want his songs 'covered', of course.... True. But lots of people who normally wouldn't know Justin loved that song on Glee. So while it may be frustrating that the full innate space-rock campiness of it wasn't preserved, it was sung well. It may have been tamed to "Glee-ish" levels*, but Adam gave it as much edge as he could considering the setting. * Which was still apparently considered uberedgy for Glee!
