I think some of you might be getting Platinum and VIP mixed up. Platinum has to be bought in pairs. The VIP packages, Ultimate, Diamond, etc were all available as singles from TM. I think. When I bought my Platinum tickets for Philly 30-40 minutes after the fan club pre-sale started, I was specifically looking for one of the up close $495 VIP tickets or the slightly cheaper $395 VIP tickets. But at that time, the web site would only let me buy VIP tickets as a set of two and they were will call only. Although, it let me select 1 ticket at first, but when I went to check out, it came back saying that these tickets had a minimum of 2 tickets required. I did not want to get stuck with an extra VIP ticket that I could not easily transfer to another person. So I went with a $350 (plus fees) Platinum ticket, which also had to be bought as a set of 2, but at least it was a downloadable ticket so I could transfer it to someone else. Things may have changed later on, or were different for AmEx customers, or different for the cheaper VIP tickets, but at the time that I bought my tickets, those were the only choices the web site would show me. And Philly tickets were sold through Comcast rather than TicketMaster, so this may account for the difference in how the tickets were sold. MyS*&@^#r no one is confused about Philadelphia or Merriweather. These are not Ticketmaster concerts. Comcast Tix in Philadelphia started out with NO VIP single tickets -- they fixed it after the first hour. And the Ultimate and Diamond VIP tickets in Philadelphia are all on Will Call -- no e-ticket option. And you must have ID. Evil Concast does sell physical tickets to these sections at the box offices and brokers buy those. There are not Platinum tickets in Philadelphia, that is a Ticketmaster program. And yes I just tried and you can now buy 1 ticket in Philadelphia DIAMOND. VIP Floor FLOOR 3 Row 8 Seat 12 Ticket 1 But you have to pick up the ticket at the Will Call window.
"Will Call tickets will be available at the Box Office 90 minutes prior to the performance. Please be sure to have your drivers license, credit card used to purchase and confirmation number available."There is NO E-Ticket option. This is Philadelphia -- it is not like the rest of America when it comes to concerts. ETA: And there is a $5.50 charge for will call. :(

Anyway, the tickets I got are as good as the Diamond VIP ticket you just pulled up. I think they may have been called "Premium" rather than "Platinum", something beginning with a "P" anyway. I'm seriously considering getting one of those 4 remaining tip of the thrust VIP tickets at Atlantic City.

Oh, Dancygeorgia I am sorry I posted that! But think of how much money you saved!!
Honestly, after dealing with ComcastTIX, I will never say anything bad about Ticketmaster.
New thread is up!!

Here is a recent tweet from Nile - @nilerodgers: I had a long day in the studio fixing guitars. The tracks we recorded at ABBA's Polar studios sound great. t.co/TJcdvirAK1 ABBA Polar studios is in Stockholm, Sweden. Hmmm... He talks about old recordings that he's working on for release. Polar Studios was closed down more than ten years ago. I don't get the 'hmmm'???

This guy did a great job. It's good to see that Brian and Roger don't want to quit just yet and they found this young dude who can do a damn good Freddie. I don't care if John Deacon doesn't want to do it I'll never forgive him anyway for "discofy-ing" Queen with AOBTD. Yeah yeah, count your ducats John, us purists will still turn our noses up at you.
(Can somebody please tell me what the part I highlighted and enlarged in red means?)
Just wanted to jump in and add a bit of my $.02 to Q3 and others. Beyond what Q3 says about AOBTD/Body Language, dancey music etc. alienating the rock fans which is absolutely true it comes down to the purists who have been around since QPR. When QPR started up and the purists were doing the whole no Queen without Freddie thing, they almost all to a degree saluted John for sitting the tour out as they decided themselves to attribute his refusal to participate to dignity, and a sign that he agreed that it wasn't Queen and shouldn't happen. With AL, the same thing happens. John doesn't tour with them or talk with them because he agrees that Queen is dead without Freddie and they salute him. HOWEVER there is a faction of purists who have kind of said that John is no better as he doesn't use his veto power on any of it (how much he has on a tour is questionable) and he still accepts his checks for everything Queen related that B&R do...I mean I don't know for CERTAIN how it goes but I'm betting John gets paid for the tour because the money will go to Queen Productions. John is still 1/4 of Queen Productions. SO long story short, there is a faction that now also think John is as "guilty" as B&R

Belle - I think it's simply that Kim didn't have your background knowledge and therefore interpreted the tweet in a not wholly unreasonable way (IMHO), as him working in Stockholm more recently....in that context I'm sure you'll 'get the hmmm'...

I just don't like to assume what exactly people are thinking - and it would help the reply if more words were used. Actually it's good that this came up as I don't remember if I commented last time this was mentioned - really no connection to Adam with this project. Better luck next time!

If anyone is or knows of someone looking for tickets to the QAL Auburn Hills Michigan show, I have a friend who has 2 VIP's for sale. Section A row 8 seats 5 and 6. Wants to sell to a fan before putting on broker site. How are people selling these VIP tickets? Except for the Las Vegas VIPs sold directly by The Joint venue, i.e. not through the ticket web sites, all of the VIPs that I have seen (which is not all of them) are advertised as being non-transferable and non-resellable. Here's the disclaimer from TicketMaster at www.ticketmaster.com/queenadamlambertvip?ac_link=queenlambert14_merchslot_vip: Originally, the Merriweather venue said that they would email my VIP ticket. But then they sent a email saying: From what I understand, all of the VIP tickets are all Will Call only and have to be picked up by the purchaser with a valid ID. If anyone knows anything different than this, please let us know! I'd really like to know if there is a way to resell the VIP tickets before I consider buying another one.
