'American Idol' Alum Adam Lambert: Being Gay 'Ain't a Disability'

The season eight runner-up took to Twitter to dish about his new album while calling fans to the carpet who say his sexual orientation is "sad."
Adam Lambert took to Twitter to dish details on his forthcoming new album, and took the opportunity to share some gorgeous new photos with fans on Instagram.
Lambert has been cooking up the new tunes in Sweden with producer Max Martin and a team of songwriters, including U.K. singer-songwriter Joe Janiak, who recently co-wrote Ellie Goulding’s Divergent soundtrack single, “Beating Heart,” and songwriter Tove-Lo, according to Billboard.
“Genre is irrelevant,” wrote the always-coy American Idol alum. “What I can say about the album is that it is a completely post-modern affair. Very sonically diverse and very honest.”
Lambert also addressed an annoyance of his -- fans that write it’s "so sad he’s gay.” Lambert said such statements are “indirectly offensive.#realtalk"
“Why? Cuz if I was STR8, then we could date? Sad? I love bein gay #oxymorons.”
"I will not be defined or victimized by my orientation. Hallelooooooo!,” he tweeted. “It ain't a DISABILITY!! It's just a disposition ya'll. the only thing that makes it 'hard to deal with' is when folks be ignant bout it. Ha”
He ended his observations on a positive note, writing: “I love all of u who get it. Thank u for your continued support. This is gonna be a great year!!!”
He concluded with a gracious shout-out to the cast of Glee: “I also wanted to say how much I loved being on @gleeonfox this season. I learned so much & had so much fun. Thanks to the cast and fans.”
Lambert will hit the road fronting Queen this summer, beginning on June 19 at the United Center in Chicago. The band announced it will play Seoul, Korea, and Japan in August. The performance in Korea will be at the Super Sonic 2014 Festival August 14-15. The Japan show at the Summer Sonic 2014 Festival will take place August 16-17 at the QVC Marine Field and Makuhari Messe.

Hump Day With Adam Lambert: Glitter Rock Vampire
On this week’s Hump Day with Adam Lambert, Adam returns to Glee, and adds some Seoul
Adam returned as Elliot this week, and got into it with Blaine, who accused him of having big pants for music box topper Kurt. Elliot denied it … but I don’t know. Elliot was nicely restrained, and tried to calm Blaine down before he spontaneously combusted (and with that hair product, Blaine would have gone up like a discarded Christmas tree on Valentine’s Day), even when Blaine ranted the fairly hilarious “I may not be a cool steampunk glitter rock vampire with like, tats, and guyliner, but I love Kurt, he’s my fiance, not yours, so back off!”
And he was never seen again.
Actually, Elliot is understanding and patient, and Blaine thanks him by writing the song “Glitter Rock Vampire” on the spot. So now he and Blaine are fast friends … but I’m on to Elliot. His pep talk convinces Blaine to move out of Kurt’s apartment … and now Elliot has a clear shot at Rainbow Sprite. Mark my words.

This is Queen's arrival at The Bowl and the opening of the concert June 5, 1982. The National Bowl is a venue in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England and not the Hollywood Bowl.
The show was released on both CD and DVD in 2004 as 'Queen On Fire - Live At The Bowl'. Great concert, a more relaxed band than few months earlier in Montreal, and Freddie made an unforgettable show, he is unstoppable and full of energy, offering some unique moments.

About “Flash”
"Flash" is the theme song of the 1980 film Flash Gordon. The soundtrack released to coincide with the film contained only the music composed and performed by Queen. It is Queen’s only soundtrack composition.
There are two versions of the song.
1. The album version ("Flash's Theme") is in fact the start to the movie, with all the dialogue from the first scene.

2. The single version features dialogue cut from various parts of the movie, most memorably, Brian Blessed's character exclaiming "Gordon's alive?!" This version was also included on the Greatest Hits compilation from 1981. Brian added film dialogue to the single mix, making the track more of a complete song and giving some idea of what the film was about, which was particularly appealing for radio play.
Flash is sung as a duet between Freddie Mercury and Brian May, with Roger Taylor adding the high harmonies. May plays all of the instruments except for the rhythm section. He used an Imperial Bösendorfer Grand Piano (with 97 keys instead of 88, having an extra octave on the low range), Oberheim OBX synth (which he plays in the video) and his homemade Red Special guitar.

If I asked you, “What Queen song will you hear at a Miami Heat game?”, you’re likely to replay: “We Will Rock You”. And you would be wrong, because when Dwane “Flash” Wade make a dunk, you will hear them play “Flash”.

• Some Sci Fi Channel teaser-advertisements for the 2007 Flash Gordon series play the signature beats from the song over a simple logo. The song is not used in the actual show.
• This song has been played on Toy Story 2 advertisement on ABC1 and Disney Channel using "Buzz" instead of "Flash".
• The song was featured in the Family Guy episode "Not All Dogs Go To Heaven", when Brian wonders why nobody has even seen God and what does he do up there.
• The song was used in a 2011 commercial for the Blackberry Playbook, with "Flash" referring to the tablet computer's inclusion of Adobe Flash Player.
• The song has recently been used in the UK Innocent smoothie advertising campaign replacing "Flash" with "Fruit"
• The song was used on a promo for the CBS reality show The Amazing Race, replacing "Flash" with "Phil", referring to the show's host Phil Keoghan.
