I've been thinking: the most annoying prejudice against Glamberts, for me, isn't about them being older women, or fruit flies, or whatever - but that they have an inflated sense of Adam's worth. Well, at least it's the one which gets me every time. Of course, no one has ever said that to me ('cause I'm the epitome of cool and unimpressionable, hehehe;), but just generally speaking, like the general impression, from the outsiders. Back to chopping onions:))) Those "older woman", Glitter cow posts "all" originated from one small group of people who were at a few Idol sites -- 1. online trolls and trollettes who were linked for Vote For The Worst, a forum that is now gone. 2. Another nameless (meaning I am not typing the name because it will attract trolls) forum that has closed which was the bottom of the barrel. and 3. People who thought it was funny to mock older Adam fans because they got upset and mostly were 14 year old Adam fans who hung out on Live Journal closed forums. As Idol has dropped in popularity, as these shark forums have been replaced by Twitter, these trolls have died. >> Trolls need an audience. *** Not directed to your comment -- but must my observation about why Adam fans sometimes get mocked online. Some Adam fans are so irrational that I think they cause much of the problems that remain. For example, I looked at a YouTube with Freddie and Pavarotti. The comment were normal for 5 years. Then a Glambert (with a #) posted how Adam was so much better than Freddy and Pavarotti. (Yes, she misspelled Freddy!) Then she dibbled on about range and notes and whatever. It was a totally unneeded post and, of course, required the fans of the other artists to explain why their fav was the best. The YT was posted by a Queen fan who I know online. I alerted him. He cleaned up the comments and had to close them. I know this Glambert -- she thinks she is being a great fan. She causes trouble all over the web. She is really clueless. But she also gives all Adam fans a bad name -- and she just does not see it. All fangroups have fans like this. Adam just seems to have an unfair share! *** Adam will continue to win people over. Fans can help connect people to him and make cool stuff available to more people, but they can't "convert" people. Leave Adam to work his magic.

Disabled World @disabledworld 22m #AdamLambert explains #gay does not equal #disabled #LGBT #discrimination buff.ly/1pW38sJ
Adam Lambert: 'I'm gay, that does not mean I'm disabled' Singer-songwriter told his fans on Twitter about his upcoming album while calling on those who described his sexual orientation as 'sad' 03 APRIL 2014 | BY VALERIE ARNAUDOVA Adam Lambert has said 'being gay is not a disability'. Photo by Greg Hernandez. American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has spoken out against people who call his homosexuality a 'disability'. The flamboyant singer said he has received comments and tweets such as ‘it’s so sad to be gay’ and he finds the statements ‘indirectly offensive’. ‘It ain't a DISABILITY!! It's just a disposition ya'll. the only thing that makes it "hard to deal with" is when folks be ignant bout it. Ha’, Lambert tweeted. British pop icon Boy George supported Lambert saying America doesn’t ‘appreciate’ the ‘fabulous singing talent’ of the former ‘American Idol’ runner-up. The star believes Lambert’s career has been hurt by the fact he is gay and said in a tweet: ‘If he was British, he’d be huge here! Adam rocks!’ Many fans replied to his message on social media, expressing support for Lambert, while Boy George stated ‘sexuality has nothing to do with talent’. Lambert got on a positive note with his latest tweets, saying: 'I love all of u who get it. Thank u for your continued support. This is gonna be a great year!!!' He publicly came out as gay in a cover story in Rolling Stone magazine weeks after the American Idol finale back in 2009. The singer then revealed he never felt ‘closeted’ but he didn’t want being gay to upstage him during the show. 'I wanted the focus to be on my ability as a singer and as an entertainer -- not on my private life,' he told the magazine. 'So I chose to kind of ignore the issue until after the voting ended.' The singer's forthcoming new album will be released later this year while he is supporting Queen in concert across the world. The first date is 19 June in Chicago.

I have been very impressed by all the good words about Glamberts..like polite, caring to all at concerts, etc. Haven't read or seen a word in a long time about older women etc. Adam has tons of young fans and more male fans than ever... So IMHO all is GREAT I know, I know, I was just chit chatting... But among the lingering ones, the one I talked about would be the most annoying. All is great indeed I totally agree with you Aleks I wish everyone could see what the Glamberts know! I also think however that it is a phenomenon that older women love and embrace this young man for his incredible talent and his magnetism. I know that I have never in my 64 years followed any artist this way.......never would I have paid money to see him multiple times!!!! Anyway, Glee has been great for Adam, it has brought in a whole new demographic to his fan base and for that I am very happy. And now, I am looking forward to the next chapter in Adam's journey.
