rpeura - I think you are a shining star on QOL. You are an example of how to act as a fan of Adam in a hostile state You keep your sense of humor and you can even laugh with the trolling a bit, but you stay supportive and it wins over everyone. Even that Adam haters tend to like you Like you I tend to try to be extra diplomatic here because I know where I am. I don't hide that generally I'm here for QAL and while I like Adam, I was not a big fan of Trespassing. But I know I don't need to say that all the time to throw it in people's faces. And when some question my talking Queen on here instead of Adam, I simply smile and understand that not everyone here likes Queen either. Lucky for me it is far more Queen friendly here than it is Adam friendly there Thank you Talon! I absolutely thank you of these information of Queen.

I've lurked on QOL and some are not only anti-adam but they are also anti-Brian and Roger. It is a very hostile place IMO. Yes there is that faction as well. There is the no Queen without Freddie (and in some eyes John). Those against B&R though are generally more because they are going out on tour with Adam. There are other reasons (promised releases pushed to the backburner, endless collaborations with inferior (in their eyes) talent, etc. If Queen productions released a live from the 70s DVD and an Anthology Box Set chock full of outtakes, I would guarantee that some of the enmity towards B&R at least would go away AND I bet they wouldn't be as vitriolic towards Adam. I mean that's an undiscussed point. MANY feel that the tour with Adam comes at the expense of some of these more worthwhile (again in their eyes) projects. If Queen wasn't going to tour with Adam (and Brian with Kerry for example) they could work on an anthology set, on the new Freddie tracks, on a 70s dvd set. But now it's all pushed back. Now before you ask my opinion. To be honest, if I had to choose between a box set and new Freddie album vs. a tour? That would be a very hard decision for me to make. A tour in North America? That makes it even harder since I can actually go LOL. If it was another UK or European tour where I would have no chance of going I would probably choose the album/box set. It doesn't mean I'm not excited as all get out for Queen to be back on tour mind you. I am. AND I am of the mindset that they are at an age and time in their lives where they should do whatever makes them happiest. BUT hopefully they will throw some of the long term fans a bone or two.... BUT back to QOL as long as you have a sense of humor and don't take things too seriously, you'll be fine there Hope that makes some sense.

Some days I am in absolute awe that a bucket list item from my "salad days" 40 years ago (Queen) has come together with a current bucket list item (Adam singing Queen) to form the fabulous new lifetime bucket list topper of Queen+Adam Lambert. If this was fiction it would be written off as implausible. But it's real. #lifeisstrangerthanfiction... no, grasshopper- it's better.Great story, perfectly playing into my 'never write anything off as implausible' MV:) Which is good, since my bucket list is awfully long:) Thanks for the 'salad days' idiom, I didn't know that one.

Just got an E mail for Fleetwood Mac at The Forum. Their VIP, which includes a M&G, are $750 does it come with a backrub too? a little ot but some people can not hear Adam in his full glory.. DH has been suffering from Vertigo and had a hearing test. While it doesn't affect his day to day life, so we had no way of knowing, he cannot hear in certain upper registers. now i understand what he was trying to tell me but didn't understand himself. A lot of Adams voice turns into static for him when he hears him live.... awww...too bad your DH is having this problem! Can it be treated? ....but I can't help going with this juvenile reaction: like I always suspected - those who don't appreciate ADAM's VOICE have a hearing problem ....

Wouldn't one think B&R are doing whatever makes them happy and whatever they want to be doing? I can't see the logic behind the said assumption: if they don't want to be doing the projects you mentioned, they wouldn't be doing them tour or no tour. All comes down to their wishes at this point in their lives... I know, poor badgers are blamed too, and foxes, and whatever or whomever are part of B&R lives... so, instead of being happy B&R are choosing to do music (rather than fight for badgers for instance), the fraction of fans choose to bitch and hate...whatever, just sad IMO.... But the trolls are fun anyway;)

Personally I don't care what some of Queen fans think of Adam.. I no longer try to convince some in my family, to love Adam's singing....I'm his fan ,they don't have to be."Such is life"

Also, I think that any Glambert's cyber-social (I made this word up) faux pas ( like that fan Q3 talked about, or posting as a non fan on forums, sorry) are rather exceptions than rules:) Glamberts kick ass, y'all:)))

I suppose some Adam fans resent the tour as well because they see it as delaying Adam's third album. I don't know that I've ever seen anyone degrade Brian and/or Roger for that situation. I share your opinion of "do what makes you happy" and I feel that should be true regardless of age.
