LMD is just fine for the US -- particularly for a "summer song". I think it could be a hit on Mars. But "Hey Brother" is still at #11 so they will not spend the money on a new single here until HB is below #20. The US Market is very big, complex and expensive. And AVICII is not as big in the Americas and Asia as he is in Europe and Australia. So if we get LMD in North America, depends a lot on "Hey Brother". The US has more hip hop and country pop music on US "hits" radio than other countries, but there is plenty of dance music represented -- "Blurred Lines". "Get Lucky", "Harlem Shake", etc. Not so sure about that. HB was released here before Christmas. It has been at #11 FOREVAH!! It was a slow climb. It may have peaked. The 2 biggest US Pop stations aren't giving it much spins at all, Z100 & KIIS LA. It is no WMU! Personally, I think the US is ready for a new single from Avicii. As a matter of fact, some stations are playing WMU more than HB! Addicted To You was supposed to be released here but it never happened. HB is def not another WMU but it is holding up way too well!! It looked like it may have peaked about a week ago. And yes, the leading markets have moved on. I think they will wait until HB falls below #20 in the US. And they will only invest in another AVICII single in the US if it does well in other countries. And right now, it has a small negative bullet, but + spins on the Pop Charts. And is still at #19 on iTunes. 11 = AVICII Hey Brother 8390 +19 41 -38 50.417 +0.545 19 It should be gone by in about 3 weeks. Just in time for summer. I don't think there was ever a plan to released ATY in the US -- if there was, it is not happening because it is not performing well enough. ETA: I hope they do not plan to release ATY in the US because I prefer them to release LMD here. ETA 2: I mean release ATY to Mainstream Top 40 -- they did release it to US Dance Radio. That is a small format and not really that meaningful.

I pray daily that it will go away soon:)

OK, I swear I'm gonna play LMD at top volume in my car. I have heard Addicted to You as a remix on Sirius BPM - almost unrecognizable from the CD version. LMD has the potential to go to top 40 radio, dance, and dj tracks for weddings etc. It is so catchy and right for summer play.

Madonna shows a hairy armpit with the comment "Long Hair.....Don't Care" So, am I late to the game - I guess Adam's green and white hair instagrams were just a takeoff on Madonna's a couple of weeks ago? So out of touch. No Madonna's was not the first. Been around for longer than Twitter.... From 2011... Tumblr...http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/long-hair-dont-care Find and follow posts tagged #long hair dont care I think the credit from moving it from girls texting and posting online to cool goes to Lil Wayne....who used it in at least two songs: Lil Wayne – "Swag Surfin" - "Still long hair, don't care, like a Navajo" Released October 31, 2009 Lil Wayne - "My Nigga" - included the same expression Long hair, don't care
I put it there, right there
Shit yeah, fuck yeah
Spit yeah, suck there
Lots of celebrities have used this expression this year..... Feb 12, 2014 -- Taylor Swift: "London, I could never thank you enough. See you next time! PS: short hair, don't care. (!!!)" lol - thanks Q3 - Just goes to show how out of it I am - oh, well.

Don't feel out of it unless you are a 13 year old girl or listen to vulgar hip hop music. It is a silly, snarky express then crossed over to be an IG slogan. I work for a University and have an inner-city, urban high school in my building -- and the students keep me in touch with a lot of things. ETA: Whether I like it or not!!

I want at least one more white hair picture before he colors it again. C'mon Adam - club hopping time so we get a paparazzi picture.

From Wikipedia: "Addicted to You" is a song by Swedish producer Avicii. Written by Avicii, Ash Pournouri, Mac Davis and Josh Krajcik, the track appears on Avicii's debut studio album, True (2013). American folk rock singer-songwriter Audra Mae provides uncredited vocals for the track. Released as the fourth single from True, " Addicted to You" was released to Australian radio on November 27, 2013; Avicii later announced that "Addicted to You" would receive a full single release on April 7, 2014 in the United Kingdom."There's quite a lag in release dates in different countries. I don't even know what songs from True have been released as singles in the US. I did hear "Hey Brother" the other day and thought the announcer said it was a new single. May have misheard. Anyone know? If that is true, it could take forever before LMD gets release here if at all. Interesting side note about Audra Mae, who sings Addicted to You: she is the great-great-niece of Judy Garland, and a great granddaughter of Garland's sister Jimmie. I really like her singing and haven't heard of her before. I looked at the Media Base Chart and Hey Brother is at 11 and moving up. It'll be quite a while until it moves far enough back down to do another release. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I wonder if LMD is a little too dancey for our US charts. That is kind of what I have been wondering. I like LMD--not in love with it--and I hope it explodes. I hope it absolutely explodes because this would be huge for Adam. But, it feels like the timing is off. Radio is seriously moving away from "dancey" stuff. It is all Ed Sheeran and Great Big World, Aloe Blaac and John Legend---lots of "soft rock," and, possibly, the most alternative they have played since the 90's. I am not confident about the timing. Anyway, I hope LMD is a single and it connects in the US
