scroll alert.... Sorry for bringing up the weekend again, but since it is kinda slow today... I was looking at the photo Julia posted, which unfortunately I don't know how to include in this post. Julia Hollinger @jmorgan2850 7m @adamlambert Here you are in my dad's car, just in case if you wanted it! pic.twitter.com/v3YVJ67ggm Anyway, the one with Adam in the driver's seat...it must have been a pretty amazing car for them to take him out to see it and for him to want to get inside. He is obviously used to mega luxury cars (even though he doesn't feel the need to own one), so most would be no big deal to him. Not enough of the car is shown to be able to even guess as to what kind it is. Not important, but it just made me wonder. I think it was Q3 who commented that perhaps the Dad picked Adam up at the airport...so he would have been in the car, but to want to sit behind the wheel was interesting. (to me, probably not to anyone else!).

I've always been an Adam fan first, and (don't tell Talon!) not a particular fan of Queen; no more so than the average person anyway. There really isn't any specific song I am desperately wishing to see Adam sing; ANYTHING I am familiar with will be fine with me. Truly. I not trying to be contrary, I just know I would totally enjoy seeing Adam share the stage once or twice. I'd like the shared energy and the comparison. And the roar of the crowd when he comes back, lol. Will I be disappointed if there are no surprise guests? Of course not, let's not get crazy here! I was a Queen fan long before Adam was born. 'News of the World' and 'Jazz' were the second and third albums I ever owned. These songs are sacred things to me. I will simply be very disappointed if anyone sings them that is NAL. I listen to almost every genre of music, purchase new music every single week and go to a few concerts every month. Most concerts I go to simply because I enjoy the music. Sometimes I'm disappointed in an artists live show and I won't go to see them live again. This Queen+Adam pairing is like winning the lottery for me. My all time favourite band with my all time (sorry Freddie I will always love you) favourite vocalist. I just can't accept someone else singing the songs I am hoping to hear him sing. I am struggling a tiny bit with the 'entitled fan' thing, because I have always frowned upon it in others, but this time I can't apologize for it because it is truly how I feel. geezlouise - - I've always loved your avi, and I love this post of yours, too. I don't want to see any 'surprise guests'. I'm on this train to see Adam, Adam, and more Adam. Thrilled that he is performing, again, with Brian and Roger - but when Adam leaves the stage I count the seconds until he returns.

Really? I want all Adam. Was completely unimpressed and felt having FUN guest at iHeart was unecessary! As a matter of fact, if Rodgers (or anyone) took a song away from Adam the night I was seeing my shows, I'd be pissed! same here! I want no one but Adam singing and no one but Brian playing guitar! But realistically it seems Queen likes having guests, so... Talon, were there guest performers during the QPR tour? Very few. In Latvia, the Prime Minister of the country Ivars Godmanis is a drummer and he actually got on and drummed for All Right Now instead of Roger...a bit surreal. The only other one I can remember off the top of my head was when Slash guested on a song during the 05 performance at the Hollywood Bowl. That's not counting special festival gigs such as the 46664 gig with Katie Melua guested on Too Much Love Will Kill You or the VH1 Rock Honors when the Foo Fighters played with them. BUT not so much for the general tours. Brian and Roger added .fun to the set because they had to cancel a prior commitment to perform with .fun. I think it was a VMA performance, but I no longer recall. This was the Grammys. Fun had asked Queen to perform with them at the Grammys but the scheduling didn't work out. On Paul Rodgers -- I suppose anything is possible when QAL plays Vancouver. And he will be there and lives there now. He ends his tour on Jun 26th in Vancouver and does not head out for his Bad Company reunion tour until July 8. So he will almost certainly be in Vancouver on Jun 28, 2014 (the Vancouver QAL concert night). Paul, Brian and Roger seem to be split up on good terms but Roger made a comment that really did not sound like they had much interest in working with Paul in the future. But Paul Rodgers singing a song or two, in a long Queen set, in Paul's new hometown, seems like something that could happen and that would be a nice addition. My only hope would be NO DUETs with Adam. And I do not want to see/hear Adam + Paul. That would not be a match made in heaven. Yeah it will NOT be Bowie. Bowie will want his first live appearance to be a big deal on his own. IMO. I'm of the mindset that there will be no guests. It's possible...but I'm HIGHLY doubtful. As for Paul. They split on mostly good terms. They had a ball in 05-06 and making the album. There was tension between Paul and Brian during 08 and if rumors are correct it was because Paul wanted to be more adventurous with the set while Brian wanted to stick with the proven war horses. Roger sided with Paul a bit but it definitely was a less fun tour by the end. Another rumor suggested Paul was getting a bit tired of being second banana especially in South America where he was basically ignored. He was not being a diva, but I think he was missing his solo tours and Bad Company, etc. They did split overall on good terms and all 3 have said that they would gladly perform again at some point but that the partnership had reached an organic ending. SO with that in mind if it all worked out I wouldn't be surprised if Paul jumped up on stage in Vancouver but I'm betting he won't as they will want to establish QAL without hearkening back to QPR. I do NOT want anyone to sing at the Queen concert other than Adam. Well, okay, I will accept Brian and Roger. If they do have a guest, I guess it would not be all bad for me. It would give me time to take a bathroom break without missing any Adam. Yeah, that would work. LOL. Of course...I'm the minority of one here because I'd rather see a whole concert with JUST Brian and Roger singing BUT I know that's a pipe dream. But if someone else has to sing, I'm just as happy it's Adam. Talon - I am so glad you are along on this ride. I would never find this video if you hadn't posted it. As you said, it really does work. I'm going to add it to a car cd, but will probably have to be sure to set the cruise control... Thanks! Indeed, I'm lucky I work for a police dept or else I would have gotten a ticket or two driving along to it I've always been an Adam fan first, and (don't tell Talon!) not a particular fan of Queen; no more so than the average person anyway. There really isn't any specific song I am desperately wishing to see Adam sing; ANYTHING I am familiar with will be fine with me. Truly. And the roar of the crowd when he comes back, lol. Will I be disappointed if there are no surprise guests? Of course not, let's not get crazy here! Don't worry, I won't tell him. Your secret is safe with me As far as any other guests....I think the only other shot there is of guests would be Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. They are such huge fans and are such good friends with Brian and Roger that this wouldn't be shocking to me whatsoever especially since the Foos aren't touring at the moment. Everytime the Foos (or even Taylor Hawkins with his sideband) has been in London, Brian, Roger or both have crashed and played with the Foos...Hell last summer B&R were both busy so Rufus came and drummed with them. In 2005 the Foos played New Jersey the day before QPR did and Roger jumped up and drummed with them. And of course in 2006 the Foos celebrated the Rock Honors with QPR. SOOO with that in mind, I wouldn't be shocked if the Foos guested at some point.

Unless, for some reason, he drove it somewhere? The whole event must have been such an incredible dream for Julia. I keep thinking back those multitudinous decades to when I was 16 and remembering how at that age I dreamed of running into one of my favorite rock stars at the time (Peter Frampton was waaaaayyy up on my list), having him appear to hold my hand during some imaginary hospital stay, or some other imagined dramatic scenario. What a lucky girl she was to have her sweet youthful dream realized!

Since they have to put in a break for Adam half way in the show, I think they could put in a guest during the break without it taking away any songs from Adam.
