This Adam Lambert ‘Smoking’ Photo Is Pretty Self-Explanatory
posted 04/22/2014 12:00:59 pm by byron flitsch
Adam Lambert literally IS the smoking section.
We’d like to thank whoever made this neon “Smoking” sign hanging in Adam Lambert’s Instagram photo, because it both serves as a reminder of his hotness and saves us the trouble of imagining it’s there in our heads.
I mean, that pretty much describes exactly how we feel about the “If I Had You” singer. How else would you refer to a guy who gives you the vapors coupled with a rapid heart-rate increase and a case of the nervous sweats? Speaking of which, anyone else get those symptoms? We couldn’t find “Glambertitis” anywhere on WebMD…
Anyway, what we’re trying to say is that the adjective completely works for us. Though, we can think of other neon-lit words Adam and his green hair — er, white hair — could stand under, like “Glamorous,” “C’est Glamour,” or “MARRY ME RIGHT NOW SO WE CAN LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER AND EAT PIZZA FOR BREAKFAST IN BED AND STUFF PLZ.”
What? They can totally make neon signs that long.

American Idol Top 6 On Their Favorite Idol Moments
While there’s been a lot of talk of the possible end of American Idol it’s worth taking note of all the incredible talent and moments the series has given us over the past thirteen years. FOX Audio Central caught up with the Season 13 Top 6 contestants and spoke with them about their favorite moments in the history of American Idol.
Read through what each of the final six singers had to say and see if any of them surprise you with their picks of their favorite American Idol memories.
Alex Preston: “I was always into Adam Lambert. Me and my parents used to watch it all the time religiously and we always loved Adam Lambert.”
Caleb Johnson: “I loved the stuff with Chris Daughtry. I remember watching that as a kid, and also Adam Lambert. I mean Adam Lambert just kind of just blew the roof off the show and just kind of and just really carved his own path, you know, from the show and what not and he was just an incredible singer, performer. I mean that’s a rock star right there, both him and Chris Daughtry are two of the biggest stars to come off this show.”
CJ Harris: “Ruben Studdard was on it and Chris Daughtry, all those guys. I mean, they’re all amazing, you know. I think Chris Daughtry brung so much out of me, you know. I used to follow…you know, I follow Chris Daughtry on Twitter and his voice is just amazing. He has a different sound. I mean, he wasn’t scared to be who he is and you know, he’s just an awesome guy.”
Jena Irene: “I remember when Carrie Underwood, when she won that moment and you know especially Jordan Sparks too because she was 17 when she won. That moment kind of was just so beautiful and I could just see myself being in that same exact moment.”
Jessica Meuse: “I saw Kelly Clarkson and the other guy that was with her, Justin, and I mean it was fun. I was very young at the time so I didn’t really think about it or anything, but it was just kind of cool because it was the first show of its kind to really come out like that.”
Sam Woolf: “I like Phil Phillips a lot.”
It’s crazy to think how young some of these artists were when the show was just getting started and now here they are. American Idol sure has a rich history!

The 2014 "Part-of-the-World" Queen + Adam Lambert Tour Countdown!
4.23.14 by Q3
The countdown moves on and the start of this epic tour gets closer. Only 57 days to go!
#57 “Let Me Entertain You” (1978)
Written by: Freddie Mercury
Released on Jazz November 10, 1978, on Live Killers June 22, 1979, and on the B-side on the singles “Save Me” January 29, 1980. The live version was also the B-side of "We Will Rock You (Fast Version) (Live)"/"Let Me Entertain You (Live)" released August, 1979 in the US and Japan.
Starting with the Jazz Tour (1978) and continuing through 1981, Queen performed “Let Me Entertain You.”
In 1981 Queen toured to their album The Game. For the next tour, Hot Space, Queen added keyboards, breaking their famous "no synthesizers" pledge, and their albums shifted from rock to multi-genre, funk and dance music, and rock as the band (or actually half the band, Freddie and John) tried to build on the commercial success of "Another One Bites the Dust".
During The Game Tour, Queen was at the top of their game. On this tour concerts started with the fast version of “ We Will Rock You “ and then segued into “Let Me Entertain You,” setting the tone for a rock concert.
The final two concerts of The Game Tour at the Montreal Forum, Montreal, QC, Canada on November 25, 1981 and November 24, 1981 were filmed and the live album Queen Rock Montreal was released in October 2007 as a double CD / triple vinyl. see video below.
***
For me, The Game Tour was the last of Queen's really great concert tours. Now, I hope to see the rock band that I love rip up stages across North America in 2014.
“Let Me Entertain You” is a theatrical rock song that Adam could pull off and do something new and interesting with. If I was planning the setlist for QAL 2014, I would consider starting the show with the killer 1-2 punch of the fast version of “ We Will Rock You “ and then segued into “Let Me Entertain You,” and for a small thrill for the Adam fans in the audience a few bars of “For Your Entertainment” rock version.
But I'm about to turn up the heat
I'm here for your entertainment
Outtro with Brian’s guitar and massive percussion.
Then on with the rest of the show!
Cool bit: The song includes a guitar riff in parallel sixths was re-used later in the Innuendo track, "The Hitman".

“Let Me Entertain You” Lyrics
"Let Me Entertain You" was written by Mercury and is directed towards the audience. The line "we'll sing to you in Japanese" is a reference to Brian May's Teo Torriatte, from A Day at the Races.
“Let Me Entertain You”
Hey, it's a sellout
Hey, let me welcome you ladies and gentlemen
I would like to say hello
Are you ready for some entertainment?
Are you ready for a show?
Gonna rock you gonna roll you
Get you dancing in the aisles
Jazz you razzmatazz you
With a little bit of style
C'mon let me entertain you let me entertain you
Let me entertain you let me entertain you
I've come here to sell you my body
I can show you some good merchandise
I'll pull you and I'll pill you
I'll Cruela-de-ville you
And to thrill you I'll use any device
We'll give you crazy performance
We'll give you grounds for divorce
We'll give you piece de resistance
And a tour de force of course
We found the right location
Got a lot of pretty lights
The sound and amplification listen
Hey if you need a fix if you want a high
Stickells see to that
With Electra and EMI
We'll show you where it's at
So c'mon
Let me entertain you let me entertain you
Let me entertain you let me entertain you
Just take a look at the menu
We give you rock a la carte
We'll breakfast at Tiffany's
We'll sing to you in Japanese
We're only here to entertain you
If you want to see some action
You get nothing but the best
The S and M attraction
We've got the pleasure chest
Chicago down to New Orleans
We get you on the line
If you dig the New York scene
We'll have a son of a bitch of a time
C'mon
Let me entertain let me entertain
Let me entertain you tonight
Hey where's my backstage pass
That was great
What an outrageous costume
Hey that Brian May is out of sight man
Not many not many
I've always wanted to be a groupie
