When it comes to Avicii -- Australia leads the world and the US and Canada have been been at the end of the release cycle since the start. (And we did not get single #2 because WMU was around "forever". ATY is not WMU and will not block out the US and Canada for 6 months. But Hey Brother Took 6 months also because it was so slow moving up. If LMD isn't the next single in the US, then I say it never will be. (But I actually don't care. Want new Adam music!) WMU to a long time move up the US radio chart -- but that is manipulated. I think sales may be a better indicator of popularity. WMU is a very long-lived song. It is now in Day 221 in the US iTunes Top 100, 79 of those in the Top 10. (Never hit #1 in the US, not even for one update!!) ** JMHO If LMD is not a hit in Australia and France or Germany, my bet is they will not promote it to the US, UK and Canada. But I do not believe it matters that much one way or the other for Adam. It all rests on his music. I have a lot of faith in Max Martin. *** Adam has Queen + Adam Lambert in North America this summer, and LMD will be in AU, NZ (probable), parts of Europe. That seems good to me. QAL will get coverage in the UK. *** ITA when it comes to recorded music, all I want is new Adam music. |

Professional pics from Julia's party. www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152008404661851.1073741936.60658171850&type=1 … Julia's Sweet sixteen This was such a fabulous event put on by The JDK Group and Planned Perfection, with the talent of Shumaker PDT, House of Clarendon, persnickety invitation studio, Mixed-Up Productions, Leslie Gilbert Photography, Ice Concepts, Inc., Shelbi Harmes, Carmina Cristina, POSH Bridal, Event Central and so many more that I can't even name. One of the biggest surprises was Adam Lambert who came for a personal meet and greet and played a full concert for Julia's party. It truly was and AMAZING day! Also, a huge thank you for Artemas Mott and Mike Allebach for helping me cover this event! (Only Adam)   I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!! Anyone notice that the photographer's last name is GILBERT, as in Elliot Gilbert? |

Well, that's just logical and good business. But your previous 2 posts implied that ATY would be the next single in the US but not to worry because it wouldn't be around long and then LMD would most likely follow. I disagree! If ATY is the next single in the US, it will be around for about 6 months & LMD will never be a single! As the young daughter of an obviously very wealthy man, I think her concern might be valid. Yeah, I mean it was super cool of her to share vids and pics, but I've seen a lot of unnecessary prying. I've been wondering how long it would take before she was overwhelmed. Unnecessary prying and more importantly sharing publicly what is discovered. If you must snoop at least keep it to yourself. |

But if it is not a hit, they won't spend the money on it in the US. I also do not think ALY will last as long as WMU. WMU was released in the US on iTunes and Radio on June 25, 2013. It peaked on the BB Hot 100 at #4 on the October 30, 2013 chart -- 4 months to chart peak. It is currently at #30 on the BB Chart in its 43rd week on the Hot 100. HB was released to US radio in December 2013, it is now at #16 on the BB Chart, at peak, in its 20th week on the Hot 100 and appears to be at the peak. With two, back-to-back top 10 pop songs, both Platinum singles, the next single will move up faster on the airplay charts which will accelerate the sales and that is why I think ATL will not last 6 months. That said, ATL was not as successful as WMU or HB in the rest of the world, and it was released to US Dance in mid-February and it was not a bit hit, peak #23. BB Dance/Electronic Songs chart (sales + club play + radio). ** In any case, I agree with you on the big point -- I really only care about Adam music, A3!! |
