The band they showed on AI is a band called R5. They mentioned Adam on twitter yesterday. Someone asked who was your favorite AI contestent and the bands twitter replied Adam. And 5 Seconds of Summer is a pretty well known band they are really starting to blow up.
I do not think the 5SOS (5 Seconds of Summer) is likely to have a big hit in North America. They are getting a lot of sales because they are supporting One Direction on their worldwide tour. Hence the big sales of "She Looks So Perfect" but it peaked in Feb-March in most of the big markets, in late March (4/9/14 BB date) in the US.
