I do not know where people are getting that Adam gets well above $500K per concert now. In Asia, yes. But last I heard it was $250K in US. That is the number we heard for Pittsburgh Pride and I do not think that will change significantly until he has another big hit/album. The $500K cost of the Sweet 16 party was for alot more than just Adam. From the photos, it included venue rental, catering for a pool side party and at the venue including a huge cake, professional photography, all the event planners, etc. Adam's fee varies but I know that Pittsburgh Pride was $250,000 + travel and accommodations, and that included the band. He has gotten less than that for two events that were private events. ** The part I do not understand about this fund raiser -- is that 600 people at $400 = $240,000 -- so that is not a fundraiser unless Adam discounts his fee a lot -- or it has big sponsorships. Do you mean that Adam paid for the band and other personnel out of the $250,000? Or were the band's salaries part of the "accommodations?" Just curious how much Adam ultimately ended up with in his pocket. Not that it matters. I am just being nosey. I want to know how many dimmers the man can buy. Or how many shoes and boots with red soles.

Tech crew, equipment, etc were covered by Pittsburgh Pride. But it was up to Adam to play the band.

How about when touring?

I've tried to scan the threads to see. Venue was in her backyard. ( sis and niece found it that night two miles from where they live and close to my hometown, which cracked me up). I am just wondering because I have no business acumen whatsoever and am always amazed at all the knowledge on this thread. I figured all you savvy ppl would have a breakdown on this, lol. Just saving up for my daughter's own S16 party in a few years (yeah, right) ETA: I'm not at all surprised at the figure. I just loved to hear abt how these things are determined. The event planner tweeted out the total amount -- but that was the entire event included the stage, crew, food, cake, etc.

Would the crew paid for by PP include the guitar & drum techs and the people who load & unload the instruments at the airports? Or does Adam bring & pay his own people for this?

If a private party with Adam in October included new music, I might be up for it. If not, and new music comes out in November, than I would expext some holiday time concerts again this year with the new music. In which case I might want to wait for the concerts with the new music. However, I might take a closer look at the potential of the event as a fund raiser, since the cause is one I might benefit from, and decide on that basis. This all assumes I could do the event without taking any vacation days which will be in very short supply after the QAL concerts.

And I only have detailed info on a few events but Adam is a smart businessperson and he has very good people running his business now. Setting that aside, Adam does not always make $250,000 for a US performance. Sometimes he makes substantially less. And on at least two occasions he donated his appearance. And out of Adam's fees, he has to cover management, booking and legal fees. Touring musicians like Adam's band do not make a lot of money but Adam is rumored to pay more than many headliners who tour in arenas.

We all know Adam is a "treat people as you want them to treat you" sort of person! And since he spent a number a years making ensomble pay, he knows what it is like to put in so much work for so little pay. Plus he gets better loyality from people who are not constantly looking for a higher paying gig to make ends meet.
