The DIL of my next-door neighbor was in Peter Pan with Adam. She was Wendy. She told my neighbor Adam was her 'first kiss'! I've gotta corral that girl and get her to spill. I don't see Adam as Peter, either. But then, Peter Pan the Musical could be tilted away from the boy who never grows up to the man who carries the innocence and wonder of a boy. IMO, the 'religious' extremists who know of Adam already possess their views of him . . . I can only see Adam in the role of Judas, irregardless of what that segment of the population might say, think, or do. Someone said that Adam's voice has 'improved' since the video of 'Heaven on Their Minds' . . . well, I hope it hasn't 'improved' too much, because I think that little performance was pretty close to perfection. One more thing (then it's back to lurkdom) - thank you for the video of the Vietnam Vet ATT commercial. My DH was in Da Nang 1968-69 . . . just like the tattoo showed. The disassociation; the pain; the forgottenness is real. As with all things, time begins the healing process and softens the edges of grief. What a great first kiss!! A million "girls" are now jealous. Honestly, the issues with JCS are not from religious extremists -- it is with lack of a market for the movie. Most film concepts are researched before a $50 million check is written. Movie musicals are tough at the box office and Christian movies need to appeal to a Christian audience in the US. >> I do not think there is one major musical in development in Hollywood. >> The closest thing is Baz Lurhmann's Elvis movie -- and that is apparently not funded yet. There are a lot of movies being turned into musicals at the moment. Regarding Adam and the part of Judas -- I agree his performance of HOTM is perfect. Only he could possibly make it better. *** For Adam, I think it is a different matter. If JCS happened and I can't find any sign of that, is it a smart move? For many non-extremists, Judas as portrayed in JCS a difficult character. I think in a world of things to do, this should be on his do when I am 40 list.

I think he was as vocally perfect then as he is now... may be some low register moments?

Thanks all for being so kind to me about my Adam as Peter Pan obsession!! But here is another Adam from GLEE and he looks like he is 23. The only things I can find about the casting of Peter are: 1. It will be a man. 2. NBC boss Bob Greenblatt wouldn’t elaborate on who will follow The Sound Of Music star Carrie Underwood as headliner of Peter Pan, other than to dismiss rumored names like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift. 3. Peter will not be played by Pink. 4. They want someone who has musical theater experience, is well know, can sing the music as written. That means they need a male high tenor, with a sizable range. 5. The star who will play the role will have a "bit more acting experience than Carrie Underwood". 6. Zac Efron is at the top of many wish lists but he said he does not want the part. Also he can't sing the part. He is a baritone, and not a great one at that. Many people think he can sign well because of HSM. **** !!! USA Today Backstage has Adam on their list -- so at least I am not alone!!!!usatoday30.usatoday.com/video/who-should-play-nbcs-peter-pan--backstage/3081360540001 **** The list of high tenors, who are well known, who can act, and who have mu0sical theater experience is really short. It really comes down to Adam, Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, and Justin Timberlake. Who am I missing? Chris Colfer seems like he would be too much like Carrie Underwood -- inexperienced at live performance and uncertain on stage. And they will want someone more experience on stage this time. Justin Timberlake seems like he would never do it. But he is only 33, and can act and sing. Like Adam he is tall -- 6' tall. Darren Criss is a tenor, has musical theater experience including 3 weeks on Broadway. Is only 27. But he does not seem like Peter Pan to me. There are other possibles, but they either sing but don't act (Bruno Mars) or they act but can't sing (Zac). I can't come up with anyone better than Adam! So it is now me and a reporter from USA Today! **** Also Bill Murray wants the part! www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgiApSLinOg I hope I didn't come across as being too harsh with my first comment. I figured you were mostly joking. Remember, I'm the one that promotes Adam doing a Christmas album every year. There simply isn't any reason why he couldn't do my Christmas album, except that he doesn't want to be associated with Christmas or thought of as approving the Christian belief that homosexuality is a sin. (I don't think all Christians believe that, but it's probably the majority opinion.) I, also, assume that Adam wants to play Judas because he thinks the role would be more true to his own beliefs. I agree with you that playing Judas in JCS is a bad idea for Adam and his brand right now, but so is playing Peter Pan. As others have said, Adam is too big, too mature, and too sexy to play Peter. I fear the criticism, if he attempted it.

He'd be a better Peter Pan than Judas. Yes I went there!! At least someone does think I am total insane! I was feeling lonely!! *** I just don't see why Peter Pan can't be tall and beautiful!! *** If they wanted Daniel Radcliffe, they would have signed him. JMHO go watch the YouTubes from "How To Succeed...", he can't handle the singing in Peter Pan. And he is not "beautiful". Peter Pan is supposed to glow and be beautiful. He is an enchanted character. I am sure Dan R. is really good as Igor in "Frankenstein".

I really should stay out of this whole Peter Pan discussion but I'll throw a few thoughts in-I do not think Adam fits the role physically, nothing about him is small and youthful appearing, therefore I think Chris Colfer,or Darren, would be far better (and quite capable) matches.
However, acting means portraying a character different than yourself. There are endless type of characters out there and there is no need to align Adam to roles that match his personality or his brand in any way. We think Judas because Adam has mentioned it. We think Danny from Grease because he is a sexy rebel. But what I want to see is Adam play a role very different than how he is already seen--show the world his real talent, and that he holds many sides to him, besides just the sexy rebel. I have learned to never underestimate Adam's talents so I set my sight much farther than him playing just versions of himself on camera.

I've been following the Peter Pan discussion all day, and I think some are selling Adam short (maybe because he is tall). Yes, Q3, he is sparkly. He has the essence of Peter Pan. His charm and sparkle make us happy. I believe he is a good actor, and can take on a role where he is not playing Adam Lambert. He can sing silly to serious and everything in between. He wants to fly. He isn't afraid of green, or not being "cool" every moment. And he probably knows everyone's lines and all the songs already. If he wants the part, he would be great at it. A good story and good actor pull you in and before you know it, you're "believing" the plot and character. As Adam has said before, "I will surprise you." Q3 - couldn't open that USA today link.
