"One exception to the above statement last year was Justin Timberlake." i wouldn't say JT is an exception. He IS a movie star!! TV, movies, music! Yes, you are correct. No exceptions then.

But Adam has said more than once, Judas would be his dream musical role!

Adam is too young to play Captain Hook who is 40-50's and is also Mr. Darling. The part has no great songs. Adam is 32 and looks like he is 25. Having him play the father of the Darling children and play the Captain would not work. Peter Pan has many dual roles -- that is a key part of the musical -- Captain Hook has to be Mr. Darling. Adam looks like he's 25??? He looked a little younger at the i-heart awards, but normally with the black Melvin stuff goin' on, I think he definitely looks his age... maybe even 35! I do think Adam looks young. When I saw him on Glee, especially the Trio episode where he wears the brown cap, I thought he looked sooo young, almost like a little boy. I think he fit right into the cast and all my friends and family members thought the same. Don't think I have heard anyone say that he looked too old on Glee.

But Adam has said more than once, Judas would be his dream musical role! Indeed he has. But I do not have to think he is right. He also wore that leather poncho and aqua board shorts. I do not always think he is right. *** I know a bit about JCS from my prior job. Anyway the JCS remake project was already in development in 2008 (I do not know what happened to that one), and again 2011-2012 (Marc Webb was attached to this one) which could not get funding because the research on it was so bad. The research was done by someone really close to me for a major studio And this is something I am sure of. Marc Webb is now working on the third installment of Spiderman which is due out in 2016. The recent success of Noah, has inspired a new interested in biblical films but only if they attack the market that is interested in these pictures -- evangelical and conservative Christians, and active Catholics. JCS is a project with no natural audience. *** I can see/hear why he wants to sing the music in JCS but I doubt he has much idea of the business risk associated with it. He can do that when he is 40 and has 3 hit studio albums!! I think his management team is sharp enough to help Adam avoid potholes on the way to his desired destinations. *** And if this happens, it will not be in the next year or two. So maybe we will have a new wave of interest in Jesus among more liberal thinkers. I doubt it. These kinds of trends move at somewhat glacial speeds. *** I do not think think Adam looks 35 years old here:

Thanks all for being so kind to me about my Adam as Peter Pan obsession!! But here is another Adam from GLEE and he looks like he is 23. The only things I can find about the casting of Peter are: 1. It will be a man. 2. NBC boss Bob Greenblatt wouldn’t elaborate on who will follow The Sound Of Music star Carrie Underwood as headliner of Peter Pan, other than to dismiss rumored names like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift. 3. Peter will not be played by Pink. 4. They want someone who has musical theater experience, is well know, can sing the music as written. That means they need a male high tenor, with a sizable range. 5. The star who will play the role will have a "bit more acting experience than Carrie Underwood". 6. Zac Efron is at the top of many wish lists but he said he does not want the part. Also he can't sing the part. He is a baritone, and not a great one at that. Many people think he can sign well because of HSM. **** !!! USA Today Backstage has Adam on their list -- so at least I am not alone!!!!usatoday30.usatoday.com/video/who-should-play-nbcs-peter-pan--backstage/3081360540001 **** The list of high tenors, who are well known, who can act, and who have mu0sical theater experience is really short. It really comes down to Adam, Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, and Justin Timberlake. Who am I missing? Chris Colfer seems like he would be too much like Carrie Underwood -- inexperienced at live performance and uncertain on stage. And they will want someone more experience on stage this time. Justin Timberlake seems like he would never do it. But he is only 33, and can act and sing. Like Adam he is tall -- 6' tall. Darren Criss is a tenor, has musical theater experience including 3 weeks on Broadway. Is only 27. But he does not seem like Peter Pan to me. There are other possibles, but they either sing but don't act (Bruno Mars) or they act but can't sing (Zac). I can't come up with anyone better than Adam! So it is now me and a reporter from USA Today! **** Also Bill Murray wants the part! www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgiApSLinOg

I feel like Adam's singing voice is too mature to be Peter Pan.

The DIL of my next-door neighbor was in Peter Pan with Adam. She was Wendy. She told my neighbor Adam was her 'first kiss'! I've gotta corral that girl and get her to spill. I don't see Adam as Peter, either. But then, Peter Pan the Musical could be tilted away from the boy who never grows up to the man who carries the innocence and wonder of a boy. IMO, the 'religious' extremists who know of Adam already possess their views of him . . . I can only see Adam in the role of Judas, irregardless of what that segment of the population might say, think, or do. Someone said that Adam's voice has 'improved' since the video of 'Heaven on Their Minds' . . . well, I hope it hasn't 'improved' too much, because I think that little performance was pretty close to perfection. One more thing (then it's back to lurkdom) - thank you for the video of the Vietnam Vet ATT commercial. My DH was in Da Nang 1968-69 . . . just like the tattoo showed. The disassociation; the pain; the forgottenness is real. As with all things, time begins the healing process and softens the edges of grief.

I feel like Adam's singing voice is too mature to be Peter Pan. I am confident of one thing, Adam can sing everyone of the songs in Peter Pan beautifully. Mary Martin did it in her 40's. *** All ya'll are just resisting the brilliance of the idea because Walt Disney infected us all with that sickly sweet animation. But this is a tale of never ending adventure with pirates and Indians and a crocodile and a dog that is the nanny. It is a fantasy that takes place in Neverland. Neverland is a metaphor for eternal childhood (and childishness), immortality, and escapism. Barrie never actually described that part of Peter in his play -- and what little he told moved to a variety of ages from a baby to 6 to 14 to unknown. In movies it has been played by 13-14 year olds and by Robin Williams at 39 in Hook. And Mary Martin was 48 years old when she played it in the last TV telecast version by NBC. Whatever else, they must be having some trouble finding Peter because they have not cast it yet. ** Yes, I am convinced he is the perfect, sparkly person to play the magical Peter Pan.
