I want Adam on my TV in a musical, but Peter Pan doesn't work for me. YMMV

As an added thought... I believe the amount of rehearsal for Sound of Music was kind of crazy, not that it helped them much. I'd rather know that Adam would need to be doing some album promoting during this time.

I so agree with you. Adam is too "heavy" to be Peter Pan, not by weight but by presence. All wrong and it would be laughable imo. Chris Colfer on the other hand, maybe too obvious a casting!

That is because ya'll are thinking about Peter Pan circa 1960 vs. how Peter is being cast now.

NBC has already said they are casting a man.

Sorry but Chris Colfer could not convince anyone that they can fly. That would actually be laughable IMO. (I like Chris but he would really not be a good choice.)

Peter is suppose to be a leader. To be charismatic.

They will be casting someone who is 16+ as Wendy so they need a tall Peter.

One thing is certain, if they cast Adam which I realize they will not, and IF Adam said "yes" which I doubt, it would not be laughable. It might be controversial because the part and the play has always had a homosexual subtext but most people are unaware of that.

And Adam is tall but he is not "big". He is actually very lean and would look the part.

Thats what I was thinking!

Adam is too young to play Captain Hook who is 40-50's and is also Mr. Darling. The part has no great songs. Adam is 32 and looks like he is 25. Having him play the father of the Darling children and play the Captain would not work.

Peter Pan has many dual roles -- that is a key part of the musical -- Captain Hook has to be Mr. Darling.
