It does not appear to be a country. It could be a specific city. It could be a venue. But nothing really fits.
Could this finally be the expected London concert? They played Wembley in 1984 and have not had a solo concert there since then. They did perform at Wembley in 1985 but it was as part of Live Aid, not a Queen concert.
Could this be Australia and/or NewZealand? Queen was there in 1985 which was 29 years ago, but they could be rounding.
Is it a return to Rock in Rio -- Queen was there in 1985 and Rock in Rio is in Las Vegas in 2015?
Well there is a difference between Wembley Arena and Wembley Stadium. They played Wembley Arena in 1984. They played Wembley Stadium for Live Aid and in 1986 on the Magic tour and in 1992 at the Freddie Tribute. So it's not Wembley Stadium.
I also don't think they'd hype up Wembley Arena. Brian hated Wembley Arena.
Here for your perusal is a bit of a book I've worked on (partially appropriated from other chronologies) - Just the entries - I've erased the details for space's sake:

Mobilevision releases the concert video We Will Rock You , from The Forum (Montreal) 1981 concert. The video omits “Jailhouse Rock” (the later laserdisc and DVD editions would restore the song). In 2007, it comes to light that the songs “Flash” and “The Hero” from the middle of the show were discarded completely (for reasons of length) and the footage is now lost, as is all of the original footage which didn’t appear in the finished film (such as alternate camera angles). The audio for “Flash” and “The Hero” survived and would appear on the 2007 re-issue.

December 9
Freddie Mercury records the following at Musicland Studios, Munich, Germany:
“Love Makin’ Love” – A demo of the song is recorded on this date.
SO with that in mind. Quite honestly - nothing makes sense that it would be a big announcement. The only *possibilities* are:
Montreux Jazz Festival - Similar to the Pop Festival - Brian played there last year with Kerry (Their DVD is from there) BUT the problem is the dates are July 4-July 18 - Nowhere to fit in on their dates.
Stuggart, Germany - Meh I don't see this being big enough for that kind of announcement.
Sun City - It's not South Africa - it might warrant the announcment...but I don't see it.
SO...If I was a betting man, I'd say they WERE rounding up and it actually was something from 1985 (OR the event is in 2015):
Australia or Rock In Rio.
