WOW! Last minute Rock in Rio would be huge. Otherwise Down Under I guess. Would Wembley be big? Rock in Rio is next year -- May 2015 in Las Vegas. I don't think Wembley fits. And Talon is right, Wembley arena does not warren this kind of excitement. Wembley Stadium does not fit 30 years ago. *** Rock in Rio 2015 does fit -- although it is now a moving festival. Oops, yes! The fact that Adam asked if he could join them is a clue of some sort. Not part of the tour, which implicitly includes him. Something else. Not saying Adam doesn't know what the announcement is but they are playing out the announcement for maximum fan interest and his tweet is a bit of a give-away.

Linda Ladden 4evrmomof4 1h @shoshannastone Caleb Johnson hopes to perform with Queen and Adam Lambert in the American Idol finale: youtu.be/SMOuoFEMPVs shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 1h 4evrmomof4 awwww. RandomDamn! Do I have to start liking Caleb again?! I'm glad he likes Adam and Queen, but I don't know how anybody can like this guy who calls his own fans "retards." Is the only controversy that he used an outmoded term? If he had called his own fans "lame asshats" or "willfully obtuse," would it have been OK? Not to mention his boorishness. There is no sparkle here, nothing that would indicate this individual has any future in the highly competitive world of music. The idea of Adam -- let alone the legends of Queen -- singing with this guy makes me feel depressed, not excited.

Junie, agree. Also, (no offense meant, Mellie) I think he is a one trick pony. Idol probably thinks they are being all liberal going for a long-haired rocker, but the hauling out of the Dr. was a bit much. I loved that Alex said they all were under the weather. Alex has a facial expression that doesn't look happy or pleased--it is hard for him to communicate his energy on screen, at least to me. Jena is 17. None of them have the entertainer part down at all.
I watched the YouTube of Adam's Idol journey last night for the umptieth time, and Adam (and some of the others) showed much more emotional range and ability to change up genre in a way that one could recognize it. These 3 have one way of singing--lather, rinse, repeat--no matter what the song requires.
Adam has matured into his talent and training and honed the entertainer part of him so much since Idol. I can't wait until June 19th.
ETA: fixing the unfortunate spelling takeover that converted Junie, to Junkie. Apologies, Miss Junie Moon.

I am not a fan of Caleb personally or as a vocalist, BUT at the beginning of the Idol season, when Caleb was asked about Idol, he specifically mentioned Daughtry and Adam. And here is a longer reference to Adam from April 2014: soundcloud.com/hollywood-outbreak/caleb-johnson-praises-american-idol-vets-chris-daughtry-adam-lambertETA: I still think it is unlikely that Brian, Roger and the band will be popping over to the US for Idol. "Happening" side: they have been on Idol 2x before. 2009 finale with Adam (and Kris), April 2012 Brian and Roger performed with Queen Extragavansa to kick off that NA Tour. youtu.be/1xhVf-uqfsgThe timing works. They can come over, return to London, do the appearance at the end of the month, rehearse and still be ready in plenty of time for the first concert. They need to promote those "look at Adam's ear and Brian's butt seats. Not really, they will sell and this is a LiveNation (bad) idea. It would be an Adam "made good" story, not an Idol finalist story. That tweet from Idol indicating more Adam. Idol is pimping Caleb. "Not happening" side: They really do not need to do any promo for this QAL Tour. The concerts that open the tour are sold out or at 90%+, and the rest will sell out if the reviews are good. Idol's ratings are terrible, the demos are not great. They already did that in 2009. Seems odd to repeat it. That tweet from Shoshanna saying Caleb's comment was random.

The idea of Adam -- let alone the legends of Queen -- singing with this guy makes me feel depressed, not excited. He has made other comments that are just stupid and ignorant. He apparently thinks that is how "rock stars" behave. Perhaps he needs to work with Adam a bit more. I feel sorry for Caleb. He really does not seem to have a place in current music. He has covered current songs but they come out at 80's metal band tribute artist doing a current song. Adam did the opposite, he took 70's and 80's songs and made the sound current. *** My biggest concern about Caleb is that he was already a limited vocalist with poor technique, but now he has damaged his vocal chords. He really should not be singing with Adam -- the comparison will just not be good for him. *** If Adam is on Idol, I will be happy, even if it is with Caleb. But I will not expect to see someone who is at Angie Miller's level in a duet with him.

I didn't realize that Idol was all about who is the boy or girl next door, my bad. I find it more interesting to watch Caleb bash mic stands than watch Alex sing a song looking like he has to go pee desperately...
I have no vested interest in any of them but it would not aggravate me to see Adam sing with Caleb. I like watching Adam sing... period

I like watching Adam sing... period To get to see/hear Adam sing on my TV, he could even sing with Ryan, Keith or JLo. BUT I draw the line at Adam singing with Harry! Unless Harry just plays the piano! Yes, I would love to see Adam with Harry on piano. That would be a good duet. Randy can play bass. They both just have to promise to not talk. Not say one word.

If Idol announces tonight who will sing with who then I speculate Adam will sing with Jena. I think they want another girl pop singer and especially one who "won" against boys who weren't..., well...., weren't last years boys. And I think that announcement would be geared to drawing in the Glambert votes, afterall we want our boy singing with the winner.
If they announce who will be singing but not who with then it's a toss up. Especially if like last year he comes in and asks them what they want to sing. Adam might be their flexible option. See what artists can come and plug Adam in where they can't. I can see him doing one of the group versions too. Put the two Glee cast guest members doing similiar things.
I do hope Ryan plugs the Queen tour, it was so weird not to have Adam on the 500th but we know Idol loves him and they both like surprises.
