I believe the reason he was on that video so briefly, is exactly because he will have more coverage coming his way. This video seemed to be mostly focused on the two extremes, the winners and the flops/accidents/bloopers.
AI has two producers from DIVAS on their staff. Adam was a mentor this season and it was mentioned that the 'one out of seven gif' was not the only time he would be seen. They are not forgetting him.
And let's be real: As much as many Queen fans and many rock fans and many music fans in general will hate this, the truth is, that this silly, pageantry, often embarrassingly inadequate singing competition, was able to pick a kid out of the obscurity of languishing in musical theater choir ensembles and discover him for the world. The singer who now tours with Queen and walks in the footsteps of Freddie Mercury, the greatest of all the rock vocalists and frontmen, that kid would come from that silly little show.
Yes, this may be a "the future president was born in the hood" - kind of story, because idol got lucky with Adam, just like they also got lucky with Kelly in Season 1.
But the show did provide the format and give him the platform on which Adam was able to then shine.
The show is not going to overlook this one, believe me.
The reality is, that at the top of the idol pyramid the two ladies have been joined by Adam now, just like we always predicted it would be. Behind that, are about 10-12 idols that also have strong careers coming out of idol. Then there are probably 30-40 others that have so-so manageable lives post show (KA would fall into this group). And then there are the other 100, who were on the show's finals, but have been mostly forgotten. And the rest (1500+) who had screen time on AI, but who are even more forgotten. It's a big pyramid.
Adam has worked his way to the top trio and he will always get coverage. I don't think we need to fight for Adam quite that hard anymore. Certainly not in the idol hallways.

Oh day-um. The above quote is one of my life's lessons. Love it, value it, believe it. And then I go and do a venomous post about Caleb. *feeling bad* but *still hoping Adam outSANGS him* You don't have to hope. If the two sing together, Adam WILL outSANG him, no matter what. Even when Adam dials it way back to highlight the other person he is singing with, the quality of his voice, the strength of his technique, and the sensitivity of his musicality still shine through. The only way Adam would NOT out-sing him is if he purposely abandoned all technique and tried to sound sh!tty. Adam is a very generous partner, vocally, but he is not going to sacrifice himself for the cause.

Caleb is nowhere in Adam's league, but he is not as off-key or obnoxious as James Durbin was. Cannot get worked up about him, even though I very much appreciate that his 'retard' comment led to a wider discussion and to more awareness of an issue that requires overall attention. I don't even care whether Caleb gets it, the important part is that many learn the lessons along with the public figure who happens to step into it.
I have had that discussion on various occasion with folks.
The lgbt community is the second most bullied, mis-understood, feared and avoided by the public, treated with shame and sometimes even mis-treated by their own family, - group of people in our society.
Often, when I say this, I immediately get the question back: 'What is the number 1 group?"
Answer: The disabled, especially the mentally disabled.
And again, awareness as well as overcoming ignorance and prejudice are what is needed.
I don't care about Caleb, but I do care about that cause.
Caleb has probably learned a PC lesson, and will not say that word anymore, but I doubt he is sensitive enough to have learned the bigger lesson of how much more respect and understanding the mentally disabled community needs. He comes across as a bit too full of himself to get that bigger picture.
But aside from this, looking at it from a singing and artistry perspective, I have to say that Alex and Caleb are in my book ahead of Jena. Jena is shouty in her voice and was terrible yesterday. Alex is artistically interesting and I will pay attention to anything he puts out, and if I like it, fine. Don't want to see him live though. Caleb is just a good singer, but he can give a show at the local fair or whatever. He will eat humble pie, when he finds out that his ability to get a record contract is about as limited as it was for Durbin.
Adam is a class act and will perform great with anyone. He wins by not outsinging anyone. He is better, even just singing harmonies, we saw it last year. Not worried. And Angie was good, but Adam still shines, and the idol audience loves him. It's all good.

No worries, I know you were not directing that at me. It was more of a inadvertent cosmos intervention, because I do try hard to remember that quote, AND it was from Terrance, a fellow Libra who I adore (and have a few older woman lustful feelings for, what a body that boy has! Probably TMI, sorry.)
Life is a learning curve, and that kindness thing is something I have worked on for years. Especially remembering that we rarely know what has brought someone to any certain point.

If you listen to what Caleb has said about Adam, it is clear that he recognizes that he is not in Adam's league as a singer. I don't think Caleb is in Daughtry's, Bo's, Taylor's or James Durbin's league. He reminds me most of Constantine (but less "greasy").
I really do not care who wins Idol this year. I watched last night but none of the 3 do much for me. I liked Jess the best.
**
I am interested in who wins The Voice this year. I am hoping that Josh wins but am afraid that a big Country + Grandma's vote could put Jake into the winner's seat! Yipes!
Josh Kaufman is my favorite talent contest singer in 5 years. Not close to how I feel about Adam but I will buy Josh's album.

I agree with Junie and the majority re Caleb,,,he hs a good enough singer but he is just too full of himself, for me. I am disappointed in AI last night...after a string of good shows ... I like Alex too but although he has a lot of talent, I don,t see him getting that far as a performer, because he doesn't PERFORM, and did not really try to change that over the course. I suspect he may have a future as a songwriter though. Jena is by far IMHO the one with the brightest prospects...she is really talented. I bought her CREEP ... It was the best thing about last night, for me. She can write, sing, play an instrument AND perform...with the advantage of youth thrown in...none of the others do all four!
i like Jessica's voice and apparent personality but to me she sits in the same category as Caleb...good vocalists but not substantial originality....great to dance to in the pub. Sorry. That said, Jess is very lucky to qget to duet with Jennifer Nettles...she is like Adam when duetting so the results of that pairing should be really, really good.
