Yep. I know that I don't know Adam, but in the many years since Idol, not to mention my *ahhem* online virtual stalking of everything Adam related, I feel that I have a pretty real picture of the kind of person he is, the work ethic he has, and his philosophy. Maybe I'm deluded about that, but we have seen him in so many situations, heard him state his life approach of realness and honesty and heard others praise him as a person so many times that I don't think I am far off the mark. All this to say that I feel so glad that this man who captured me with his voice, who I instantly became a lifelong fan of, is also someone I can respect and be proud to be a fan of. Not just for his insane talent, but also as a person. (Forgive the misplaced preposition, but it is so awkward to say "of whom I am proud to be a fan.") I wish more of these contestants/singing stars would realize that there is more to being a talent than just a voice, it all wraps up into one package. Especially I wish that someone would convince these young singers of this fact. *side-eying the Justin Bieber* Very very welcome. Another truth I have gleaned from life is not to be afraid to reward behavior you want repeated. Works for raising kids, works for being a supervisor and works really well on me! I really enjoy your posts. ITA. I remember thinking back to the beginning of Adam's AI journey, is this guy for real! Then as the show went on it became apparent that he wasn't putting on a front, it is really who he is as a person. If you are pretending to be something you're not eventually you will slip up, but IMO that hasn't happened with Adam. When I try to explain to people why I am so obsessed with Adam this is a big part of it for me, who he is as a human being, not just his unbelievable voice. I feel so privileged to be one of his fans!

And, just because he moves me and I love to see that quality recognized by other great singers:
of note~
1. Shoe tossing equal applause
2. I actually think he forgot the words at one point, but for our genius boy that doesn't matter. He still slays.

Sorry if this has already been posted. I haven't seen it. It is really short! Well that is a major FAIL if that was all that was shown of Adam all night! LAMBERTLUST @lambertlust 58m Here's the video clip of Adam Lambert on American Idol last night vine.co/v/MXvD7ThPPdj This is idol... I'd find it difficult to believe that they would let this one slide, especially if they can make claims of "making" someone. I suspect they'll show a clip of Adam singing in the finale and then mention that he goes on tour this summer. I'm almost willing to bet on it. I'd be just fine if he didn't perform.

I really want to support folks like Adam, who has honed his natural talent into an amazingly skilled instrument, and who is a genuinely good guy. There are some singers who have talent, but are lazy and just natural ... jerks ... or suffering from horrible arrogance ... and I'm glad to give them a pass.

Instead, CBS invited his ass ta big-ass up on Da Early Show, on tha same date.[64] Discussin tha incident up in a Rollin Stone rap battle, Lambert stated: "Female muthafuckas done been bustin dis fo' years"pushin tha envelope bout sexuality"and tha minute a playa do it, dem hoes freaks out. We up in 2009"itz time ta take risks, be a lil mo' brave, time ta open peoplez eyes n' if it offendz them, then maybe I aint fo' em.
