A very quiet morning - Since absolutely nothing is going on this morning perhaps a few of you would appreciate something else to listen to/watch? OT except that this group came into prominence due to appearing on a reality show singing competition on The Voice Off this past season (altho' they have been performing for 13+ years before becoming an "overnight" sensation). Other connections to Adam? The cute high tenor worked singing on cruise ships like Adam did. The group is creative and does different takes on familiar songs. They have good voices and they don't need studio magic. Heck, they don't even need any backing musicians. They are an a cappella group. This is a video of their Christmas concert last December. I start it at a clever parody of some banal pop songs that were very popular. After that, there is an incredible "drum solo" by their beat boxer. It sounds impossible for one person to make all that sound. After that is their version of Ring of Fire, which they sang on Voice Off. These guys are entertaining, fun, and great performers. Tim Foust, a member of this group is from a town right next to the one I live in, Nederland, Texas! I love listening to them!

I just signed the petition Adam tweeted about. When I clicked on the link yesterday, I saw that you need to create an account in order to sign the petition, and I hesitated because I dislike having a bunch of accounts under my name all over the Internet. But I went back today when he tweeted the reminder, and when I went to set up an account, I discovered I already had an account there! So I had to go through the forgot-your-password steps because I have no idea what my former password was. So now I've signed the petition and urging others to sign, because there is no saint like a reformed sinner. Sign it, everyone! It really is important.

So BBC Radio 1 played LMD at around 4.40 this afternoon on their dance anthems show. Unfortunately it was the Avicii chipmunk remix............ The DJ mentioned 'the vocals of Grammy nominated Adam Lambert' afterwards. So disappointed - I do hope they play the real one as well. If they're only going to play this dismal remix I will be furious. :(

Thanks for posting the Home Free concert Cassie, love these guys. We watched them on the Sing-Off, they've got wonderful harmonies. It's a good thing we know Adam has stuff coming as it's been sooooo quiet!

It's horrible - why would anyone do that to Adam's voice? It was a dance show so keeping everything crossed that we get the real version too. There are a lot of remixes I like but this one is awful.

Thinking of all of you near the fires. I'm in South Orange County and the sun has been mostly shining through smoke in the mornings the last few days. Last night and this morning the smell of smoke is stronger than ever. On my way home from work yesterday, I saw a new mushroom cloud building where there had been nothing before not too far from home. A constant reminder that many are at risk of losing so much. My son lives very near San Onofre and the Tomahawk fire at Pendleton. He is on the edge of the neighborhood and has nothing but fields south of his house. It got close, but they seem okay for now. : The firefighters do everything they can to protect homes during these times and fortunately are able to keep structure losses to a minimum. Please send them your positive thoughts and prayers. They have been battling fires in triple digit heat in some instances during a So Cal heat wave.

I just created a whitehouse.gov account and signed the petition.
Sad that only about 969 people have signed…when 99,031 signatures are required.

I just created a whitehouse.gov account and signed the petition. Sad that only about 969 people have signed…when 99,031 signatures are required. I agree it is sad....but at the same time...they could not be much worse marketers if they tried. 1. The initial instructions can easily let you believe you can't vote unless you are American 2. It is a two pronged process to sign the petition that includes going back to your email and returning to sign. 3. They have a share click for twitter that won't tweet....claims to be 2 character's too long Talk about shooting yourself in the foot...these are the kind of things you do to booby trap an initiative, not promote it.....very odd.. I did eventually sign it but yesterday I did not but when I tried again today I voiced my frustration and Gelly let me know you could vote as an non-American....
