Thinking of all of you near the fires. I'm in South Orange County and the sun has been mostly shining through smoke in the mornings the last few days. Last night and this morning the smell of smoke is stronger than ever. On my way home from work yesterday, I saw a new mushroom cloud building where there had been nothing before not too far from home. A constant reminder that many are at risk of losing so much. My son lives very near San Onofre and the Tomahawk fire at Pendleton. He is on the edge of the neighborhood and has nothing but fields south of his house. It got close, but they seem okay for now. :  The firefighters do everything they can to protect homes during these times and fortunately are able to keep structure losses to a minimum. Please send them your positive thoughts and prayers. They have been battling fires in triple digit heat in some instances during a So Cal heat wave. I just created a whitehouse.gov account and signed the petition. Sad that only about 969 people have signed…when 99,031 signatures are required. I agree it is sad....but at the same time...they could not be much worse marketers if they tried. 1. The initial instructions can easily let you believe you can't vote unless you are American 2. It is a two pronged process to sign the petition that includes going back to your email and returning to sign. 3. They have a share click for twitter that won't tweet....claims to be 2 character's too long Talk about shooting yourself in the foot...these are the kind of things you do to booby trap an initiative, not promote it.....very odd.. I did eventually sign it but yesterday I did not but when I tried again today I voiced my frustration and Gelly let me know you could vote as an non-American.... signed this '' took a bit of effort,but worth it |

I noticed that, so I just changed the "and" to an "&" and was able to tweet it.

Minor deniable things but makes me wonder. It is also designed to look like it is coming from the Whitehouse [hence my initial assumption I could not sign it] but it isn't really....the whole thing is either fishy, or just poorly executed. just saying... |

It's part of the whitehouse.gov website, which is the official White House website. Nothing fishy about it. The White House allows people to set up petitions on this page of the site, and they promise to review any petitions that meet the signature threshold. |

Arsonists should be forced to fight the fires on the front line IMHO. And then thrown in jail, of course. Psychiatric counseling wouldn't hurt either. Seems like often when we get natural fires the nuts pile on. >:( |

I am opposed to capital punishment but I might reconsider for arsonists! ** On LMD -- in the US dance radio got the Remix LMD, and other formats got the edited album track LMD with Adam's vocal not modded. Hopefully, that is paralleled in the UK and the non-dance programmes will play the proper LMD. I sure hope so. I have confirmed that the same LMD playing in Australia was serviced to UK radio. Here's hoping they play it. ** LMD was sent to radio in Mexico. The US and Canada are getting ADY on June 3 to Mainstream Top 40. We are so far behind the rest of the world. I wish NAFTA applied to radio!! |

The White House website was not easy but not as hard as trying to purchase a calendar from the fan club. It took several attempts plus a call to Ground Central. Should be easy and available to everyone, not just members. I thought it would be in the "store" and once there was amazed at the limited choice of old tired stuff. Come on Adam, we want to buy dimmers and a house to put them in!
