I'm not too worried about Adam's own music - it will happen and it will succeed commercially or it won't whenever it appears. But by giving himself now to a Queen tour, for a few short months, he can probably set himself up with financial security for life - how many people would turn that down? I wouldn't want him to limit his opportunities with Queen, just to bring forward something with such uncertain rewards, however artistically laudable.
This tour will give him personal highs in his career and will forever cushion him from the low bits - hopefully, it will give him choices and a good degree of protection from compromise in his future career.

There was lots of celebrating on twitter for the Oz dates but also lots of grumbling. I agree that it would be disappointing if his new music were delayed. But somehow I don't think Adam would let that happen. I'm sure it's all planned out and will happen when he said it would - when it's done. And the important thing is the tour is looking to be hugely successful! If it were selling slowly I doubt it would have been extended. So lots to be happy about there. Apparently there's a Latin America rumor too. I understand the frustration though because it's been a long wait. A long LONG wait. I just hope the general radio-listening public hasn't forgotten him. A hit is a hit. Who remembered Daft Punk before they released "Get Lucky"? Who knew Robin Thicke before BL? Did the 13 year olds buying "Happy" know who Pharrell was? Everyone know Lady Gaga but she is struggling on radio. *** I agree that the tour is perceived of as a big win. Adam has been working on A3 and appears to be done. It is important to him. He called it a side-by-side project. I trust him. Plus, I do not think Roger or Brian would let him not get out new music -- even if he wanted to put it off. Plus, there is a huge investment in A3, so it is happening. And as I have posted for months -- single in Aug/Sept and album in Nov makes the most sense. It may not be that but I still think so. JMHO QAL is good for A3 promo. It will be newsworthy. Adam will get great reviews just like he did in Vegas.

From the PR: " He [Adam] is currently writing and recording for his third album, which will be released this year." I assume this latest Press Release was approved by Adam/his team, so I see no reason to worry about A3...

And what a name! I am verklempt:) I wish I had it in me, but I just don't, I can't right now, it's a terrible time for writing, my muse is drowned in the muddy waters flooding my country.
But if I could write, it would all be good. His once in a life time story with Queen, his music coming out, and all the barriers just keep falling down before his talent&heart. To answer Q3's question from weeks ago, about whether this tour will be majestic: I believe so, with all my heart. For me, the EMA was majestic, the iHeart was majestic, in such a way that I came to a point of quite adamantly not allowing different opinions because they felt intolerably wrong. So this new, once-in-a-lifetime tour has some pretty majestic parents and has no chance of being anything less than. At least genealogically speaking:)
Ah, look at me, can't help myself. Or to quote a rap song: "I start to think, and then I sink Into the paper like I was ink When I'm writing, I'm trapped in between the lines I escape when I finish the rhyme."
