Since it is so very slow... One of my favorite groups, Pentatonix, just put out a new video yesterday... and I think it is awesome. These guys do a lot of things that I wish Adam would do as well.... Raise money to make your own videos, put the microphone down during a concert and sing a song without amplification, have random collaborations with other artists and put them on Youtube, dress up & cover well known musical songs and have a blast with that while still sounding good (look for Superfruit - Frozen Medley or Defying Gravity on Youtube). And most importantly, each concert they get a fan on stage (for free!) and serenade her, while sitting on her lap.

Do you know if this still works with fitted sheets that now have elastic all the way around the perimeter of the sheet? I was just wondering (bored)!!

But I do not want Adam to have to resource for fan-funding to make videos. I want to see him with a label that funds promotion. Adam wants to be a mainstream pop-rock star and for that he needs a big promo budget. PX was signed to Madison Gate Records part of Sony Pictures Entertainment that puts our soundtracks and other recordings derived from films, television programs and other entertainment media -- that do not require promotion. So they put out 3 low-budget EPs, sold 500,000 copies in total worldwide (top seller was the Christmas EP), made very little money, and had to pay for their own promotion. They resorted to crowd funding but have raised very little: www.patreon.com/pentatonix>> They are technically indie releases but the royalty rates look like a major label. The were signed to MGR because they were viewed as cover artists who need no A&R and do not write their own songs. PX is now signed to RCA and will get to put our a proper album and have real promotion, plus get a full distribution push. ** On the other stuff -- Adam can do all the covers in the world but first I want new Adam music.

Q3, I agree with you that Adam would probably never be asked to sing with LZ because he is Queen's frontman now, but, I agree, it would be glorious. The idea just makes me smile. And we could expand it further. How many other classic rock bands need a lead singer? Then, of course, there is the fact that Adam is great onstage in musical theater. He could be the "understudy" who goes on for various leads on Broadway when they need a break. He already has the reputation for being able to sing any type or genre of music. I think it would be a hoot if he also got the reputation of being the number one, miracle solution to any production in need of an incredible tenor voice. Stuck having to cancel sold-out performances? We have an alternative. Ring up Adam's management and beg them to convince him to save your production. The only down side? After Adam takes on the role/job, you may find yourself not wanting the previous performer back again. In a strange way, it was always Adam's blessing as well as his curse, that there are so many directions he could venture into. My sense, is that if that group of overeager Queen fans, who need to point out that Adam is no Freddie at every turn, will not do Adam in, any attempt to step into Robert Plants footsteps would be met by a second gang, more frightful than the first. Not that Adam has any plans...or Led Zeppelin for that matter. But technically, it is of course true that Adam could sing LZ catalog too. Yet, no matter whose music catalog he takes on, one thing is certain, it will always sound like Adam, and not like the original. So, good, you say. That way, it does not become karaoke and stays far from any such risk. Sure. But what it also means is, that Adam is nowhere at home. There is nobody who has ever come before him, or is singing right now, who is like him. Adam is in a league of his own, but also quite alone out there, in that uncharted territory. Adam is forced to forge his own path, not matter where he turns. He has been kissed by a muse, and then some, and it gives him the artistic talent and self-assured focus to stand on his own two feet, but it does not come easy to him. Hits do not fall out of his mind by the dozens. Roles that are made for him, are not plentiful. Bands who can hold their own with him, want to work with him, and are his own generation, have yet to be found. A while back, I spent some time diving a little deeper in the various classical voice types within the tenor range and tried to understand, where Adam would fit in vocally, if he had decided to go into opera music, instead of pop/rock. It was an interesting undertaking, but the astonishing result was the same as in the world of pop and rock. He is unique. There are of course typical tenor roles that Adam could take on, and would sing, if he were in that field. But are they made for a voice, like his? No, they are not. He again, would be the unique talent, that vocally does something entirely different with a role, than everyone is accustomed to hearing one way. He would cause debate, and some would love it and others call it heresy. Is there literature written for someone like him? No, not really. Not surprisingly, given that there is nobody like him, there is also nobody who has written literature for his unique voice. There was a time in opera (first half 19th century), where they had a very unique tenor named Rubini, in Italy, and some work by Bellini and Donizetti was supposedly written with his voice in mind. I listened to some of it, and based on what I heard, I can only conclude that Rubini's voice must have been quite different than Adam's. The roles would not be a natural fit, vocally. The only thing they seem to share, is that Rubini was also unique in what he was able to do in his upper register, but somewhat controversial in other ways. I wish we could listen to Rubini's voice, but that was of course before recording was a possibility, so we have nothing but word of mouth and the pieces that were written for him. Adam needs to forge his own path, and his legacy will be a unique one. He was meant to be a star, but a new star, not another one in an existing cluster of stars, which is what we had plentiful in the 70s and 80s. But, I would think that in any time, there are folks who detect a great artist, and want to make great music and understand the unique talent that is Adam. I hope he can find some artistic home base soon. Meanwhile, the exchange with such brilliant minds as Brian and Roger is probably going to give him inspiration and hopefully, he can also bounce his A3 ideas off of those two guys, while they are on tour. One perspective among many others, I would think.
