It says in this article that these are only artists who have worked with one booking agent -- Degy Entertainment. Secondly, the are not actual booking fees but the general amounts that this one booking agent has so that when someone is looking to book talent, they can provide a list of people that MIGHT be in the budget. When you book an artist for an event, it usually starts off with a conversation like this.... Booking Agent, "What is your budget?" Inquirer, "I can spend $100,000." Booking Agent, "what is the date? what do you have in mind? where? etc. ..... I'll get back to you with some suggestions." **** Sometimes people want someone specific, but that is less common.... **** Then there is a negotiation, contracting, terms, etc. ...... **** In other words, these lists are vaguely directional. **** Yes, I know for a fact that booking Adam Lambert is substantially more than $100,000. And whatever it was in 2013, it is much higher now because of the Queen tour.

This is so riddled with errors, IMO. Adam is in the 150K+ to start and that is probably way too low. And Daughtry might have been making 200-300 right after his first album and huge singles, but now? No way! I would say Demi Lovato is much higher because she's had a string of recent hits, plus XF judge, plus other TV. ETA: Or what Q3 just said while I was typing!

Mad World sold like crazy during idol. Is this one, where again the 'unreported' sales during idol season do not count in this tally? I am just surprised that songs like No Bounderies (any version) made it past Mad World. If the idol season itself were included, that would be hard to believe. Also, all the other songs from Adam's performances sold very well during idol, yet they are not in that list. So, my suspicion is that this is again just post show sales. And that would be biased in many ways. a) major sales numbers are not included and b) the later in the season a performance happened, the better is its chance to track here. and c) Earlier seasons obviously have an edge over later ones. Or am I misreading something here? Yes, all of the sales during Idol were blocked from Soundscan. So many Idol season tracks would be on there that are not. "Mad World", "Heartless", about 11 songs by David Cook....... ***** What I have been trying to figure out is if when "Playlist: BOAL" is released on iTunes, will the tracks be for sale? If so, there is a shot "Mad World" could chart again.

Just one week, its biggest peak! That is the chart this article is using. If we just look at the Top 10, one would think that "Behind These Hazel Eyes" was a bigger hit than "Home." But the truth is NOT even close. As of May 2013, Home has sold over 4 million. (Ya, I know ridiculous. But it has!) Behind These Angel Eyes, as of the same date, has sold 1.5 million. As a matter of fact, WWFM, sitting at #22 has sold more than Behind These Angel Eyes! I really think the Hot 100 is a silly little chart. But unfortunately it is used for Rankings & PR for so many things!

Just a PS to MyS*&@^#r50's comment --
Hot 100 is 50% radio airplay and the rest sales until recently when they adding a bit of social media in.
So if radio and sales peak in the same week, a song will have a higher peak, than if they are not synchronized. "Home" might be the biggest hit from Idol but the radio and sales are not synchronized.
Fred Bronson could have used the yearend charts for sales and radio airplay and built a better list.

Minimum Fee US Dates $150,000 - $300,000 + Minimum Fee INTL. Dates $300,000 - $600,000 + I also remember seeing his international fees listed at 450K - 750K , but I can;t remember where...

In Adam's case -- and not unique -- If it was something he wanted to do and his management thought it was a good idea, it might be $100,000 + expenses. If it was something that did not work for him or he did not want to do, you could have a check for $400,000 + expenses and you could not book him. ** In Adam's case, it is clearly about more than money.

So the world 'all-time' only means that all songs since 2002 sung by an idol during or since the show are in the running. It does not mean that anything is accumulated at all. Great. Appreciate that reminder. Did totally not realize that this was the method. This is almost as silly as this statistic yesterday: www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/20/top-artists-vocal-range_n_5357698.htmlIf you want to have a good understanding on how qualified that list is, here is the number 4 on that list trying to hit some high notes. Careful - ears may be bleeding! celebrity.yahoo.com/the-insider/did-steven-tyler-forget-crazy-225213988.htmlI realize, he is not the youngest anymore, but he looks and sounds seriously run down here. Would not look forward to going to that concert tonight, but I bet it is full, in Lithuenia, and wherever he goes from there.

But to be fair to Steven Tyler -- he was an excellent frontman. He's 66 now, and no one his age who was a rock frontman shredding with his voice for 30 years come out unscathed. He is not my fav vocalist but at their peak Aerosmith with Steve were awesome. youtu.be/Nm6hJXpfQno

There actually is a list somewhere of the top 20 selling Idols and it is based on accumulated sales. I am pretty sure Adam was in the Top 10.
