I LOVE all the gold and diamonds on Adam's fingers and wrists in that photo! I don't know if I ever realized his name was written in diamonds!

Thanks for posting the pic, nica575! And the news that AFL is going to London is good to hear too.

THIS! 'Gelly @14gelly 1h What I know is that EVERY site is mentioning Adam's name not only inside the article , but at their tweet too. I am fine with that ' 'Gelly @14gelly 48m Very good article www.bustle.com/articles/25580-aviciis-lay-me-down-video-is-missing-something-important-hint-adam-lambert-video …' AVICII'S "LAY ME DOWN" VIDEO IS MISSING SOMETHING IMPORTANT (HINT: ADAM LAMBERT) — VIDEO When Adam Lambert first premiered “Lay Me Down”, the song he did with DJ Avicii, it was basically the club hit we all didn’t know we’d been waiting for. The fact that it’s the fifth of the singles released from Avicii’s True doesn’t do the song enough justice, unless Avicii was saving the best for last. Lambert provides all of the vocals for the song which, when combined with Avicii’s music, makes for an incredibly addicting track. For some reason, however, the music video for “Lay Me Down” was less of a music video than a concert video. The video follows Avicii as he heads onstage to perform the song for an adoring crowd of concert goers as a show identified as “Live at Tele2 Arena”. The show is so good that the concert ends on a shot of one of the fans crying. Not that I blame her, considering they paired the song with smoke machines and bursts of flames. It’s as if the eargasm everyone was having was somehow an underreaction. Why Avicii chose to film a concert instead of pairing the single with an outright video (like one that actually features Adam Lambert) isn’t immediately clear. Maybe by the fifth single on an album, you start running out of steam as far as elaborate videos go. However, pairing “Lay Me Down” with a live concert does force the viewer to focus on the song and their reaction to it more than they would have if they’d had to follow the plot of a video while they listened. Lambert might not appear at the concert, but his vocals are the heart and soul of the song and they match up perfectly with the smoke columns and shooting flames. That particular show took an already good song and made it great, so we can’t blame Avicii for wanting to immortalize it as part of the music video. He’s in the habit of keeping his vocalists uncredited anyway, controversial though that decision might be. At least when you get up and start dancing around your room to the song, you won’t be missing much in the music video besides people doing the same thing. I agree with a lot of you here and with Q3 that the writer has missed the concept of what HOUSE MUSIC is all about. I used to wonder about this - how a Club DJ could command such a following . But many young people are more interested in the beat of a song than in analyzing lyrics … and this is what the video is globally announcing- I do not think it is denigrating the singer nor the song writers it is for me an announcement that the beat of LAY ME DOWN could create such a reaction almost like mass hysteria from a huge assembly of young people CLUBBING in an arena.
I am actually excited that LMD is presented in this way. A song that Adam brought to life with his vocals could arouse abandonment to the beat. SHROUD

Avicii's song. Avicii's choice. Now how about rehearsals starting soon! #queenwillrock

Oh and just a note to whoever posted the video of Maks and Meryl freestyle dance for DWTS - I could kill you, I've just spent better part of a day down the DWTS Season 18 rabbit hole. Last time that happened was Adam on Idol. I'll just say it seems Maks loves to take his shirt off and I am very happy with that situation :-)

I too watched all their dances in one sitting, just to see the progression... I agree, theosgma, Meryl did wake up, but Max transformed as well... what a joy!

LOL no way can I be mad as it was a very pleasant rabbit hole (and you gave me Queen info so for that alone you get a pass). There does seem to be quite a bit of speculation about their relationship. I think he also loved having someone he could literally toss around. He's a big guy (6'2 I think) and a really strong masculine dancer, she's a slip of thing so they looked great together. The dynamic was right and add in the insane chemistry they have (romantic or not they do spark off each other) and it was a pretty unbeatable mix. What Amy was doing was amazing and it was a fab story - so taking nothing away from her accomplishment, but nice to see pure artistry triumph and after 14 seasons seems like Maks deserves it (but then I've always loved the bad boys). Now if I can just get that damn song they danced to for Week 7 (Adrenalina) out of my damn head! LOL

Unlikely in this day and age but I wonder.
