I've been requesting "Lay me down" on Z100 mediabase request form the last couple of days. Here is the link for anyone interested.
This is really important -- please do not request LMD until AVICII and/or Adam ask fans to request it. They just released AVICII's "Addicted to You" to radio on 6/3/14 in the US -- so that is the song that they want promoted right now. LMD will get its day when it is time. *** One or two media base requests will not matter but anything that looks like fan group behavior is not good. NOTE: LMD is on many radio station Mediabase request forms. It appears to have gotten a syndicated show spin -- on something carried on all the major Clear Channel CHR stations. It was NOT a local spin. IT WAS NOT ADDED TO Z100, KIIS or Q102 (Philly) playlists.
ETA: I have been unable to find the spin that cause LMD to show up on every KISS format station Mediabase request form I have checked and I did 12. The track has one add, an unmonitored station in Utah -- Mix 107.9 -- Utah's Hit Music Channel serving Salt Lake City, Provo, and Ogden at 107.9 FM.

"N-Joy Radio", the biggest radio-station for young people for the whole North of Germany has listed "Lay me down" as a suggestion for their weekly top 30! I don't know if people in other countries besides Germany are also able to open the link and vote but if so, it would be nice if you all throw in some votes from time to time! You are allowed to vote as often as you like/have the time to! Just give LMD three stars and two other songs of your choice two stars and one star (it would be good if you changed the other songs every time you vote, so that no other song gets too many stars!) and then fill out the "spam code" and click on the "Abstimmen" button! The voting continues until next Thursday, the next top 30 show is next Friday. If a song makes it into the top 30 list, it can stay there up to twelve weeks if enough people vote for it regularly! Thanks in advance! www.n-joy.de/radio/sendungen/top_30/charts177.html Done!!!

I would love to express my gratitude to Talon! I have learned so much and I have forwarded the information to my son who is a huge Freddie Mercury fan. Thank you so much Talon!
This is my painting! You are very welcome and VERY nice work there Beautiful! Q3 said: Do you think Roger could have been the front man for a band if Queen never happened? He had/has that rock edge to his voice, lots of personality, and was a handsome young man. I wonder if he ever thought about it but decided he wanted to be a drummer and just sing backup? Just wondering and thinking out loud.lol Well he technically was. In his pre-Queen/pre-Smile band Reaction, he was the drummer and frontman (for part of it). AND he was the frontman for The Cross between 1987-1993. He sang, stood out front and played rhythm guitar. BUT in truth Roger is *NOT* a great frontman. He's not as much of a frontman performer so. He has the vocal chops, musicality, and knowhow...but he works best as a drummer/backing vocalist with occasional lead vocals. It's not that he can't do it though. His solo concerts were fun (from what I've seen in video) but definitely for the hardcore fan... I have seen Roger in concert live once -- he is not a frontman. JMHO. There is a big distance between being about to sing and being able to front a rock band. Adam is a frontman and he can sing. Wait you've also seen a Roger solo show live? Or are you talking about with QAL? If you have I'm even MORE jealous. Just because I love the material!

Or are you talking about with QAL? If you have I'm even MORE jealous. Just because I love the material! Yes, I have seen Roger separate from Queen. Just to explain that I usually do not fly places for concerts. I only have done that for Adam and QAL! I used to travel regularly to London because of work late 90's. On one trip in 1999 I attend a Roger solo concert (Electric Fire Tour). >> Roger has a very calm, nice personality live, but hard to envision him commanding an arena crowd. >> I really like Roger's solo work and particularly like the new album. He is a very talented musician and songwriter. I never got a chance to see Brian May when he was doing the Brian May Band, but I did manage to get to see a 2 song performance as part of the Innuendo radio promo tour. That was a lucky accident -- I happened to know someone at the station and was in NYC at the right time! ** The upcoming QAL concerts have me thinking back to old concerts a bit -- and I am shocked at two things -- 1. how much live music I saw in the 70's and 80's when a home mortgage was not required to buy tickets!, and 2. how I have become so monogamous since I heard Adam live in concert the first time -- 2009, almost 5 years ago. He now comprises about 50% of my concerts! Yipes!! But we only live once and I think this is really a "once in a lifetime" tour. ** From the first time I saw Adam live which was in an arena, he commanded the entire venue -- and most of the audience was not there to see him. He has learned how to be a better frontman since the Idols Live tour, but he had that X Plus from the beginning. It is there and it cannot be taught. I have only seen a few artists with this ability to be "big" plus who were great vocalists -- of course Freddie is on that list.

I'm curious if you remember which gig you we my to (venue?). I have numerous bootlegs from that tour. And I agree on RT. Great small hardcore frontman but not an arena frontman. Glad you like his solo stuff! I love Electric Fire and his new album. Happiness is pretty good too. Great songwriter that only got better over the years:)
