This is probably the largest tour he's been on. He's was in the We Will Rock You Band for a while and toured with Brian and Kerry for the Anthems Tour but that was still pretty close to home...a UK tour of about 15-16 dates

Thrills in the Strangest Places Department Reviewing an article on Firesafe Gardening and guess what one of the author's name is: INVASIVE SPECIES AND FIRE IN CALIFORNIA ECOSYSTEMS by Adam M. Lambert, Carla M. D’Antonio, and Tom L. Dudley Even the middle initial is the same, and both from California. This guy is probably 6-10 years older than our Adam. I bet he has received some unintended emails or facebook traffic, on occasion. Lol

Is that considered a decent showing for a legacy album? Decent but nothing to brag about. But these albums rarely chart. So at least it charted. The best selling in this series was TVBO Destiny's Child which charted at #77 in 2012. I think it sold 90,000 but too busy working to look it up now. Playlist: The Very Best of Britney Spears #111 in 2012. Playlist: TVBO Clay Aiken charted at #173 in 2009. Sold 10,000 units total. ** And many, many have not charted. Playlist: TVBO Ruben Studdard (2010) did not chart. Sold 3,500 units total.

Does he compare to his dad as a drummer? I haven't noticed if he sings. Does he compose? Of course we can dream that he and AFL would team up after this. What? We can dream.

I don't think there really *IS* much of a perception outside Queen. He's not very well known or anything. He started as WWRY drummer. Brian recruited him for the Kerry Ellis Tour and said he was the best drummer he'd seen in a long time. Roger of course loves his son and thinks he's a great drummer. I do know that when the Foo Fighters visited London one time when B&R weren't around, Rufus guest drummed for Tie Your Mother Down while Foo drummer Taylor Hawkins took lead vocals. When I compare him to Roger, I think he's a decent drummer. I haven't heard anything too inventive from him, BUT that may be because he hasn't gotten into a band scenario yet. He's been the second drummer or the drummer to a long-time professional. He's got power and he's certainly extremely competent. I'd be interested to see if he ever breaks free and does his own work. As far as composing...on Roger's last album, Fun On Earth, Rufus got a co-write with his dad on a track called Be With You. In an interview he stated that Rufus had been tinkering with the piano line for a bit and Roger thought it was very nice and developed it. Rufus played the piano on the track as well:

I see a lot of you are thinking about your concert outfits. For anyone traveling to Texas, be aware that it will be HOT here in July. For Houston you can expect mid 90's and very humid. Dallas will likely be slightly cooler and less humid but still hot. You will not want to be in leather, more like linen or a light cotton. Shorts and t-shirts would not be unexpected. Mosey on down and have some fun.

I'll check the numbers thread now...

So, given we are in 2014, we are talking somewhere around 3-5K for #187 I suppose, right? I'll check the numbers thread now... Probably around 1,500 to 2,000 units sold. All said and done, Sony will sell about 10,000 of these -- and make a little bit of money. This is what labels do with their catalogs. They keep the expenses very low, make a bit her and there, and over years and years, it really add up. *** Adding this here, I also posted it in the Numbers Thread *** Playlist AL charted in a relatively new Billboard chart. Playlist: The Very Best of Adam Lambert charted on BB Top Current Albums which is equivalent to the old BB 200, but not on the new BB 200. Prior to the December 5, 2009 Billboard charts, albums over 18 months old that had dropped below position #100 and have no currently-running single(s) were removed from the Billboard 200. A new chart that keeps the previous criteria for the Billboard 200 (Top Current Albums) was added so that album performance could be tracked over time using the old rules. My guess is that this means it sold about 1,500-2,000 copies in the first week. Could be slightly lower.
