The most interesting thing to me about Playlist is not that it appeared on a BB chart, but that Fred Bronson decided to post about it. I think it proves how much traffic an Adam Lambert mention can drive. *** The second thing is that it just makes me want NEW Adam music!!

I see a lot of you are thinking about your concert outfits. For anyone traveling to Texas, be aware that it will be HOT here in July. For Houston you can expect mid 90's and very humid. Dallas will likely be slightly cooler and less humid but still hot. You will not want to be in leather, more like linen or a light cotton. Shorts and t-shirts would not be unexpected. Mosey on down and have some fun. 90 degrees, is it something like 35 degrees celcius! Okay, my hair will look awful in that humidity! And I wish I could wear shorts!

I don't think there really *IS* much of a perception outside Queen. He's not very well known or anything. He started as WWRY drummer. Brian recruited him for the Kerry Ellis Tour and said he was the best drummer he'd seen in a long time. Roger of course loves his son and thinks he's a great drummer. I do know that when the Foo Fighters visited London one time when B&R weren't around, Rufus guest drummed for Tie Your Mother Down while Foo drummer Taylor Hawkins took lead vocals. When I compare him to Roger, I think he's a decent drummer. I haven't heard anything too inventive from him, BUT that may be because he hasn't gotten into a band scenario yet. He's been the second drummer or the drummer to a long-time professional. He's got power and he's certainly extremely competent. I'd be interested to see if he ever breaks free and does his own work. As far as composing...on Roger's last album, Fun On Earth, Rufus got a co-write with his dad on a track called Be With You. In an interview he stated that Rufus had been tinkering with the piano line for a bit and Roger thought it was very nice and developed it. Rufus played the piano on the track as well.. Thank you for this!! And thank you for continuing to share your wealth of information on all things Queen.

Roger Taylor is an awesome drummer -- he does not usually make the lists of the Top 10 best rock drummers because he probably falls around #12 or #13 of all time. Which is not shabby. This is the one rock position that there is real consensus about #1 -- John Bonham, Led Zeppelin. Setting these lists aside, I think Roger might be ranked higher if Queen was a hard rock/heavy metal band vs. the multi-genre band. And his role within Queen was much bigger than being the drummer. He was the glue that held everything together -- particularly important during the first half of the 1980's. Roger is one of the best singers who played drums in a major act. Music Radar puts him at #6 on this list; www.musicradar.com/us/news/drums/the-12-greatest-singing-drummers-ever-486045/8Disclosure: This list is a bit odd because Ringo Starr is #1 and while he is a great drummer (highly underrated), Ringo is not much of a singer. ** I have not seen enough of Tiger to evaluate him as a drummer for what my eval is worth (very little). But if someone has a nice Tiger drum solo, please post the link. In any case, it is a great opportunity for Tiger to play in this tour and the double drums is perfect for Queen in arenas. That was clear at iHeart. Note: I have seen Tiger with Queen 3 times but Adam was there and Adam is all I see or recall.

I know when the QAL US tour was first announced there was much anticipation for promotional TV interviews. Not too much of that has materialized. Do we think it's too early? Do we expect any TV appearances to promote this? And yes, I know many venues are close to sold out but some are not - notably the 2 NJ ones and I think Philly is still not near to selling out. Maybe I'm wrong - I hope so. But my point is will there be any TV appearances prior or during the tour? Whaddya think?
