Grrrrr to that review. Yes, it is a site where anyone can submit an article. So, I don't consider it legitimate, even tho' others will not make that distinction. But this? "His voice fits in so well with this band that at times I thought I was listening to Freddie. He is that good. Make no mistake, he's no Freddie, but he's good." First of all, he NEVER sounds like Freddie. His voice fits, yes, but not as an imitation Freddie. It's a bit like people who say that Freddie sang opera. NO, he didn't. NO, he couldn't. He might sing an operatic style song, he may sing with an opera singer, but Freddie didn't sing opera. And Adam didn't sing like Freddie. And any statement that starts with "He/she's no _______," is NO compliment. I don't care what the intent of the speaker. So, please, aspiring writers everywhere, JUST STOP IT. Review Adam's singing and performance on its own merit. Glad I'm not the only one who reads it this way .

First, that video of Brian on the roof of Buckingham Palace made my heart stir- what a moment that must have been for him. Confession time- I am as excited to see Brian May play as I am about Adam!! Don't stone me, he's always been my favorite guitarist ever- he simply makes that thing cry. And as a man I am just in love with him. Second, I have to wonder if John Deacon snuck in a listen to iHeart, or to anything over the past few years. Such a crazy talented guy... I miss him badly. See you guys in Chicago tomorrow night! Oh, me too! ALL OF THEM!!

For me, I can't take "He's no Freddie, but..." comments too seriously. These are the people that protested anyone but Freddie singing with Queen and this type comment is very close to backtracking. They simply don't want to do that. They are trying not to disavow their previous stand and don't want their buddies to think them to have changed their minds. I would only ask you not to be too terribly offended- it only harshes your buzz. They are coming around bit by bit- please take comfort in that and try to let the rest roll off your back.

I think some feel by accepting Adam ,they are betraying Freddie's memory..I believe this will stop, for the most part, during or after the tour.. Adam is an undeniable force with his own solid, great career...so I take the back handed comliments with a grain of salt. The positive aspect of this great tour with Queen is is that Adam is growing a bigger and bigger world wide fan base due to his incredible voice and his charisma..IMHO The Queen songs and the band are made for Adam, the perfect musical fit.. Freddie is gone but Adam, the band and the music live on.... I notice a subtle change heading in Adam's direction.. less about Freddie and more about Adam in the press and on the live stage.. The comment sections. in articles. well we know what they are like.LOL. I take it as a backhanded compliment as well. I'm glad the reviews/comments are positive towards Adam. I don't mind the 'he's no Freddie, but' at all. What comes after that disclaimer is always complimentary and I love it. baby steps.

I agree with every comment re "no Freddie" I read on the last couple of pages . I think for the pure FM fans the "no Freddie" meme is absolutely true, as no-one will match his voice, his stage presence, his persona FOR THEM. But for the rest of the world it's just the "common wisdom" so to speak, their attempt to fit in with the accepted "religion". There sure is a difference between "no Freddie" and "not Freddie" as far as my English comprehension tells me. However, I am not sure all these "reviewers" can tell the difference, some of the articles are so badly written! As far as "don't bring the everyone-can-write-there references": some of the sites, like Examiner, are known and some are not. It is often hard to tell... For instance is the Pressparty or the UnrealityTV anything more than amateur blogs? I really don't know but I like their enthusiastic support . I am looking forward to observing the change in how the tour will be covered throughout the summer. IT IS ALL SO MUCH FUN!
