LOVE this song -- I hear Adam singing "I love her so" as well as "I love him so" -- need to go check lyrics.
Damn, Roger is twirling drumsticks, Brian is skipping across the stage......I think they ARE drinking from the fountain of youth (or maybe darn good B12 shots!).
He does, it's a partial lyric change from "Down in the city just Hoople 'n' me. Don't I love him so" to "Down in the front row just Freddie 'n' me. Don't I love him so".

"When he introduced Rufus, my sister said some of the crowd “boo” him. I wondered the same thing. WTF, why would they do that or did we hear it wrong." I thought they were cheering "RU" rather than boo. At least I hope they are. Oh, that would make sense. Short for Rufus!!! Ok, I'll go with that:-) Thanks! Willowgarden: Yeah for the picture of Adam. Now our sighting has been memorialized in picture. And to think that person was right near us in the little crowd 8-)

Goodness. I usually am more coherent than this! Guess that happens with two QAL shows in a row. He just looked like a STAR! I loved the Vancouver show but San Jose was looser. More banter. He just gets better and better.

OK. Time for a review. I'm at the airport watching the fog roll in and have a few minutes.
I went withy dear friend, whom I never get to see any more, and it was a real treat. She came with me to GNT and grew up listening to Queen, so she was primed. We had 110 section seats - 2/3 way up and just left of center. Great spot for screen viewing and getting a sense of the crowd.
Early on, I tried to start a "favorites" list in my head and quickly stopped keeping track - it was just awesome after awesome moments. STL, KQ, Brian's solo, Bo Rap, and the finale all stand out for me. My overall impression was of 6 guys having the absolute time of their lives up there. I screamed and chair danced (no one stood in my section till we all lost our collectives minds at the end) up a storm.
My friend, K, and I agreed that it was definitely a queen concert, with Adam as the guest, but that that was as it should be. Adam isn't Freddie - he isn't as iconic (yet?), as crazy, as closeted - but he definitely handles the material with skill, attitude, and delight. Brian (in particular) and Roger are still giants among men, and just a delight to hear and watch. Rufus even got his moment on drums, for ???? (Help!).
The crowd took some time to warm up, but once we got to KQ, it was rocking in there, and we got plenty of joy feeding back and forth from the stage. Adam even got a pair of men's leopard print underwear thrown at him. He caught them, said, "is this a pair of men's underwear? Finally!" His vocal control and tone is just superb - his voice is definitely maturing. I loved Brian's solo. He is so good live, and he was so obviously having the time of his life playing to all corners of the arena.
What a show!

Curious about why people line up so early for an assigned setting venue, or maybe this has a GA section? In our case it was simply about the "line experience". Just chit chatting with others in line and people watching. Just another one of those pre-concert things to experience:-)

HCLU hcluless 5m Touch my world with your fingertip. Only fist in spot light rest of him dark. Like reaching from the great beyond. Not sure how this came out in video, but in the concert he reached for the light and his fingers "GLOWED" while touching it/reaching into it. The glow was AMAZING!
