This concert was about the most beautiful and magical experience I ever had. I felt a little like Dorothy when she ralized she wasn't in Kansas anymore. Adam looked so gorgeous and radiated joyous and loving energy that it was almost like sparks were shooting off his body; peerhaps the famous aura? In fact, I wonder if the sweetness and love he can't help but project gives this concert a different vibe than the gritty bad-ass one of many rock concerts. For me one of the things that made this concert so special was the obvious joy the band felt for each other's company. Brian and Rodger seemed almost giddy with happiness. I think they love Adam for giving them this chance to relive their glory days.
I went with my son who likes Queen and first knew them from Wayne's World. I was surprised at how many songs he knew. My daughter and I had been planning this for months. She was going to bring her guitarist boyfriend who is a Queen fan. Sadly a work emergency caused her to cancel last minute. My son called a college friend and he and his girlfriend joined us last minute. They both love the concert. My son was extremely impressed and thought Adam was great.
I took Amtrak from the Central coast and was delighted to discover that the train station is across the street from throw SAP arena. Everything I needed was an easy five minute walk. Was also delighted with my seats which were so much better than I thought they would be. They were on the floor and close enough to cat walk to be afforded a detailed view. My tall son had an even better view.
We were in a sea of passionate Queen fans. Everyone
