I am with you 100% there girl. Hearing the two voices back to back just illustrates the beauty and richness of Adam's voice for me. Wanna hide with me behind my couch? Hope it's a BIG couch because I might have to join you. I actually went back and listened to Freddie singing many of the songs Adam sang last night. Freddie is amazing, but on many songs Adam sounded much better. Freddie has achieved 'godlike' status with some fans and they feel he was perfect, which he was not. Everyone can be replaced! Still a huge fan of both men, though. Funny that we feel the need to hide when we express a personal opinion about how incredible Adam's voice sounds to us. Also funny that I have to duck and hide if I say anything about Adam's performance being less than 110% perfect. I guess I need to gush just the right amount? Like you I went back and reviewed live Queen performances with Freddie. Wanted to see and hear what others adore so much and find Adam lacking in comparison. Not trying to get into the Freddie/Adam debate again. Just want to be free to say, as nannygoat did, that I preferred Adam's voice and interpretation. |
